I just added that on my post.

Funny thing is about a week ago Bieksa says he hopes Benning does make a move to make a push. By adding someone ,they need to move someone, but he is in full support of that

- VANTEL

I think he's hoping it's more like a pick or prospect for a vet like Doan/Jagr...let's pray that doesn't happen.

Those are really good numbers.

Plus to have that kind of weight at 16 is really impressive.

Teams start prepping 2 years in advance to tank.

Plus we have to get used to every year from now on having a "generational" player.

Austin Matthews is next years "generational" player.

It sucks because if he was even average offensively he'd be a nice player because he's good at driving possession and defensively, but he kills a lot of offensive momentum/chances despite being a possession driver because his offensive skills have diminished.

I watched him closely tonight. He can't get rid of the puck soon enough. He is playing with 0 confidence. He needs to spend some time in the press box to take a look and piss him off a little.

Unless they are moving him out

Pretty impressed with Bo Horvat in the face off circle.

53% on the night is great considering everyone else on the team was <40%

He is the best rookie in the NHL in the Face-off circle at 53% average.

Thats good stuff for a 19 year old as most rookies struggle like crazy in the circle.

Boston is also the second best Face-off team in the league.

Yeah, offensively he's painful to watch. He'd fit better on a team that has plenty of scoring and doesn't need it's third/fourth line to score as much as the Canucks do(because of a lack of a legit top 6).

Clendening was a brilliant trade. I've seen nothing to suggest his defense is sub par and his first pass is exceptional.

Who knows what Forsling turns into. Clendening is good and is only going to get better.

The last two games have been exciting as hell and the Canucks have given us no shortage of bounce back games(respective to the duds) this season.

I like when the Schedule makers pair up back to back opponents that have history with the Canucks... makes for more than one good game in a row.

Keep Dorsett and Bo together, keep Kassian and Mathias together... JB is finding good pairings... 3 out of 4 lines. The way Richardson's season was going, there's no reason we cant have 4 when he comes back.

Agreed. Amazing game for Kassian and Mathias. Kassian is finally playing with some fire and he looks like he's done with the pressbox. Another great game for Horvat. Hard not to be excited about his future. He could be the 2nd line centre sooner than later.

And for all the flack Higgins has been getting, that pass to Vrbata was sick (though it could have been lucky). He's still a tenacious penalty killer and has some upside, though it's not top 6 production at this point.

I'm looking forward to the playoffs. If the Canucks can start playing like this with some consistency and Miller gets hot, they could win a round or two. And just getting guys like Horvat, Kassian and Mathias some experience will be a good thing.

Looked like Kulikov was right down to the ice when he delivered that hit. I like a hip check as much as the next guy, but that was definitely a hit to the legs. Can't do that. If he'd done it right, the result would have been bruising but not crippling.

On the other hand, part of me thought it served Seguin right, but that's not a hit the league can allow.

I think you are in post-bruin-win euphoria. Higgins is not yet out of the dog house. His recent semi-turn around --- easy to say it is a turn around as he went from doing nothing to doing a little, --- is most likely attributed to his new line mate Vrbata than he.

"Could win a round or two".... if we face Chicago in the first round, maybe we can get by... but the rest, I am not as optimistic as you. And until I see Miller (WHom I like) get more consistent, then I do not think he has a King Richard Brodeur streak coming any time soon.

Knowing the type of player Kuli is. I doubt their was intent to injure. Just mistimed his delivery.

Seguin's a douche anyway
