Phanuef we could get for an Orca blow up doll but Kessel and Kadri will cost us all our first rounders for 5 years...not a bad deal.

Franson is overrated and a waste of cap space personally... He gives up the puck on a regular basis more then bieksa.. I'd rather just roll with clendenning and use the money for the top 6

Waiting for Nonis to screw up the trade, with Shanny and management all telling him what to do, and be replaced and a long rebuild to take place. Too much Leaf stuff on tsn and sportsnet as it is...

Kadri and JVR are good offensive players who would interest me, but the Leafs want picks/prospects so TOR-VAN aren't good trading partners.

Ah, I must have missed that.

It is a good article but I thought it was especially interesting today, to contrast against how Torts is now describing his time in Vancouver. No matter how contrite he sounds, he still doesn't seem to have a very clear understanding of how his behaviour comes across to other people.

It will be interesting to hear all the new trade proposals...

Was thinking to start the season that the problems for the team would lie in secondary scoring, Defense and Faceoffs.

While the first line and fourth lines have delivered great, after an early bump, the secondary scoring is not enough. I think the middle 6 of the team could use some player for player trades, but I would keep Burrows cause he's so versatile.

Really liked bringing in Clendening on the backend but this Dcore isn't gunna get it done. I think Hamhuis has got to go...he's knocked in three goals already this season but all of them have been on his own net. Sbisa has been a disaster. Stanton and Weber have been good 3rd pairing guys. Bieksa has not hit the net but I'd like his game if he was paired with a safe player. At the end of the day though, Edler and Tanev have played like a second pairing, not a first...we need a dman that can score from the point.

Faceoffs have been terrible and will continue to be a problem. The Goaltending has sucked too.

Glad to see the team punching above their weight though and I have hope for some of the prospects...
