this would be great. Eller seems to be stuck in a rut, can he do better with less around him. We don't need a goalie and Tinordi may do well with a change of scenery.

Toronto has no leverage. Kessel has a horrible contract in a world where all top teams are capped out. Toronto might be stuck with him unless they eat salary

Kessel does have value but his cap hit is rather large and the contract is for many years ... that's a major investment. He should fetch a good return but my guess is Toronto will have to eat some of his salary if they want to trade him.

He's definitively a great offensive talent but he's also a defensive liability so any team that wants him will have to take this into account.

One thing I know for sure is that he's definitely not a Montreal type of player ... here you play for the logo on the front of the jersey and not for the name on the back. Players are also required to play a sound defensive game.

We can just keep drafting highly touted goalies and using them as trade bait while we have Price. We ship Fucale out in a package and then draft a guy like Vladar or Samsonov in the middle rounds in this years draft and use them as trade bait and so on..

Trade Phaneuf to Detroit for Martin Frk. Detroit likes to rehabilitate players like Phaneuf, like Bertuzzi. Frk is unlikely to succeed, so no big loss for Detroit. Take a short term salary dump if needed

Trade Kessel to Calgary for Sam Bennett and a 1st round pick. Monohan, Gaudreau and Kessel would be lights out for calgary, plus Burke likes Kessel. Toronto gets a probable first line centre in the future and a mid-ish first round pick.

Trade Franson to LA for a 2nd

Trade Bozak to San Jose for a 2nd

Trade Reimer to Minnisota for a 2nd

Try and dump Clarkson and Lupul if possible. Lupul might pull in a salary dump and prospect. Clarkson...7th round pick...I don't know, probably too much for him lol
