Botch sporting a Costco sized, Viagra induced Broner article about trading Lack:

Kinda agree with him. Would rather trade Markstrom and keep Eddie.

Markstrom likely has a higher ceiling...lack seems like a great guy but it should be a hockey decision and personality shouldn't factor into it...unless of course markstrom had a personality like Kesler. Keep the better goalie and trade Lack as he will probably warrant a better return.

McMillan looks like an upgrade version of Higgins but younger........welp cya Higgy! If Benning brought this guy home and his stats is near close to yours but a bit better then you'll probably be traded at the TDL for round picks
- BeatStriker

Lol how is he an upgrade on Higgins with 3 points in 50 games?!

The Canucks were idiotic in getting rid of Weise.
- monsmaark

Weise was absolutely brutal for us what games were you watching?! The change worked for us and him

People who say that are the ones who don't play or have never played.. It's exactly the same as golf.. Not all sports are great for TV for all but to say baseball isn't a sport is just ridiculous
- MaWLz

I'm sorry but I played for 7 years because it was the only sport that didn't involve excessive running (I was fat)

If we're making hockey wishes (Weise & Santo) I wish they wouldn't have traded Neely and that first round pick, we could have drafted Sakic and had Neely. Now thems good wishes!!

Might not have a lot of running but it doesn't mean there's not skill involved... Not too many people can hit a 90mph fastball, or throw one for that matter... Don't see fat guys playing shortstop or roaming center field either

That's absolutely true. No arguing that it doesn't require skill. Not necessarily raw athleticism but it is a skill game. I just find it boring even though I played it for so long, much more of the opinion of steamer, like things with pace. Hockey, rugby, even soccer I prefer because of how few stoppages there are
Edit: I also agree with Vancity about the live baseball experience though, it really is something else

I didn't know we had a desire to become the Leafs

I prefer Dorsett Horvat Hansen if it all the same, but thanks

- VANTEL

Leafs? Weise is with the Habs... We gave up a lot of speed without Weise and Santo... As I recall it was peeps on this board calling the team out for being slow... When a guy can play first line minutes in Montreal, there's no reason to believe he can't find a place in the Canucks bottom six...

That was an exciting game versus Chicago! But pure magic was revealed in overtime with the Sedins on the ice for over a minute and the Hawks having not touched the puck. So much has been documented and debated about the innate sense of how Daniel and Henrik seem to know exactly where their twin is in the ice, even if they can't see each other. The Sedins are consistently left out of conversations and lists of the best players in the game. Is it prejudice? Jealousy? The Sedins will go down in the histories of the NHL, the Canucks organization, and the country of Sweden.

I was quite pissed off (as I'm sure all Canucks' fans were) when the reports of Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn making inappropriate comments about the Sedins on a radio show. Can we chalk this up to immaturity? Maybe. More likely it is jealousy and 'douchebaggery'. They didn't need to make those comments. And they didn't realize they had done anything wrong until it was pointed out to them. The biggest surprise coming out of this is the fact that the NHL head office was silent on the issue. Surely, Seguin and Benn should have received some sort of fine. Alas, Bettman was too busy in Las Vegas foolishly denying the fact that they are expanding to that market. It must be the draw of the money the NHL sees in Las Vegas. There are much better cities that deserve a NHL team, like Seattle.

With the trade deadline approaching, the Canucks need to make some moves. I believe that Higgins, Kassian, and Edler are the best bargaining chips. I have heard Hansen's name in rumours. Hansen is an integral part of the Canucks' lineup. He can play on any line; can a core, can hit, and has amazing speed. Plus, his cap hit is low. Higgins is under-performing, Kassian has shown flashes of brilliance but is nowhere near what we need, and Edler has bounced back enough from last season to make his trade value go up. The Canucks need more high quality picks, but they also need a couple of impact players; one in the top 6 and one in the bottom 6. Who they should target? I have no idea.

Montreal has a small team . They will go nowhere if Weise is top line . Same as us going nowhere with Higgins top 6

Dale Weise is having a career year with 9 goals 13 assists. That is third line numbers not first line.

Vancouver is a perfect trading partner with the jets right now. They want a top 9 forward and have some extra D. We have way too many top 9 forwards. I would rather get a forward prospect in return. Jets have some decent ones.

Myers was less than spectacular last night for sure. It'll be interesting seeing what happens to his trade value with a new organization.

Can winnipeg bring out the Calder trophy in him or is he stale as shyt......

Combine 'small' and old, then you get a first round playoff exit.

Umm, After he told me what happened we've talked briefly but not lately no.

My heart gos out to the guy.

And when I say what happened. Im assuming im the only one aware of that. Not going to inform anyone further.

He had a rough time and is dealing with it accordingly. Ever since he got bopped out of our pool I havent heard from him.

I think he spends his time on HF now.

I take a gander there once in a while but I think he probably has a different name.

I think we are better with NYR right now. With Lundqvist possibly being out for the remainder of the season and being more hopeful to return that guaranteed, they may panic at TDL and get a goalie. We have more than we need. But who would we want from them that they would be willing to get rid of?

Very possible depending on where Benning views the pending rebuild. If they truly think we have a shot at playoffs next season then Miller stays for a minimum 1 more year. Personally I think the way this team is trending we aren't going to see playoffs for another 4-5 years...maybe 3 if we are somehow lucky.

Miller being traded will likely depend upon if we make the playoffs this year or not. If we do he stays to try again next year, if we don't probably traded to move up in draft/get more picks for rebuild.
