It's hard not to be drawn in when every pitch matters. But the two million regular season games that each team plays is ridiculous.
For me, basketball is the sport that I just can't get in to, or any kind of car racing. - CubanBuffet
Agreed.. I want the season shorter and playoffs expanded.. More competition... And basketball as well, 90's was a great time now the league is nothing but egos and forming super teams it's a joke... |

I sure hope the ticket prices follow...face value for the cheap seats back when the Nucks finished second last in 1998 was $39 - stevekariya
poop, you can get tickets cheaper than $39 now. Just not from the box office. |

Anyone read JJ's blog?
Interesting that he mentioned the loss to the canucks sent the management group “scrambling” to look for a solution. They are 5-3-2 in the last ten games. Why did a loss to the canucks cause them to scramble?
I think they still hate us. - bloatedmosquito
Cuz they are afraid of facing us in the playoffs... :-)
Need to be able to match up. Canucks are a measuring stick for them. |

That was an exciting game versus Chicago! But pure magic was revealed in overtime with the Sedins on the ice for over a minute and the Hawks having not touched the puck. So much has been documented and debated about the innate sense of how Daniel and Henrik seem to know exactly where their twin is in the ice, even if they can't see each other. The Sedins are consistently left out of conversations and lists of the best players in the game. Is it prejudice? Jealousy? The Sedins will go down in the histories of the NHL, the Canucks organization, and the country of Sweden.
I was quite pissed off (as I'm sure all Canucks' fans were) when the reports of Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn making inappropriate comments about the Sedins on a radio show. Can we chalk this up to immaturity? Maybe. More likely it is jealousy and 'douchebaggery'. They didn't need to make those comments. And they didn't realize they had done anything wrong until it was pointed out to them. The biggest surprise coming out of this is the fact that the NHL head office was silent on the issue. Surely, Seguin and Benn should have received some sort of fine. Alas, Bettman was too busy in Las Vegas foolishly denying the fact that they are expanding to that market. It must be the draw of the money the NHL sees in Las Vegas. There are much better cities that deserve a NHL team, like Seattle.
With the trade deadline approaching, the Canucks need to make some moves. I believe that Higgins, Kassian, and Edler are the best bargaining chips. I have heard Hansen's name in rumours. Hansen is an integral part of the Canucks' lineup. He can play on any line; can a core, can hit, and has amazing speed. Plus, his cap hit is low. Higgins is under-performing, Kassian has shown flashes of brilliance but is nowhere near what we need, and Edler has bounced back enough from last season to make his trade value go up. The Canucks need more high quality picks, but they also need a couple of impact players; one in the top 6 and one in the bottom 6. Who they should target? I have no idea. |

The Canucks were idiotic in getting rid of Weise. - monsmaark
no doubt. the guy has speed, some skills around the net, and grit. not sure what else they'd want from the guy.
I'd rather they'd have kept Santorelli as well.
Could've had a line of
Weise, Santo, and Hansen...
all speed with some skills to put other teams on their heels... |

Not sure I can get there. Weise was pretty much useless here in the west vs the bigger bodied mobile clubs. He has some success in the East as it's a weaker conference. Torts never liked him and it is nice to see him having a bit of success.

I didn't know we had a desire to become the Leafs
I prefer Dorsett Horvat Hansen if it all the same, but thanks |

Tanner Glass was a better 4th liner, I'm pretty happy they're both gone. |

If we're making hockey wishes (Weise & Santo) I wish they wouldn't have traded Neely and that first round pick, we could have drafted Sakic and had Neely. Now thems good wishes!! |

McMillan looks like an upgrade version of Higgins but younger........welp cya Higgy! If Benning brought this guy home and his stats is near close to yours but a bit better then you'll probably be traded at the TDL for round picks |

My wife just asked me who is worse, Gillis or Nonis? After thinking about it for way too long, I have to say Nonis, but only because he is still, somehow, doing his job. |

Botch sporting a Costco sized, Viagra induced Broner article about trading Lack:
http://www.theprovince.co...ch/story.html?id=10809354
Kinda agree with him. Would rather trade Markstrom and keep Eddie. - PetrolSexual
I like Lack, but I'm not sure he will ever be elite. Of course, the same is true of Markstrom. Trade whoever brings the better return. |
