Anyone see that 88 yr old rush the mound iat the Colorado fantasy camp. Reminded me of the fat coach that got thrown to the ground in the bench clearing brawl
- VANTEL

"rush" may be giving the guy a bit too much credit...though he is 88

the guy looked fairly small, I wonder if that was the first pitch he saw that was "high"

I wonder if Gary Roberts summer camp would be good for Kassian? Maybe he will learn discipline and maybe even get better foot speed.

TSN has posted an interesting article on draft picks and how they pan out. I have seen similar posted here by some posters but I find the TSN one is more detailed. I found rnd 1-3 are as advertised going from 80-44-30 but rnd 4-7 gets interesting where there is only a 1.6% drop from rnd 4 to rnd 7.

Firstly I want to understand what changes in the philosophy or approach in Rnds 4-7? I have never watched the draft past round 2 but I feel the scouts are more involved in the later picks and the earlier picks are when the GM makes the decision weighing the options. If that is the case I am really happy JB is more of a scout and still loves to scout games. I think it will increase our odds of landing NHL talent per round.

Secondly the writer brings up a point that sometimes it is more valuable to get a package of picks then having a high pick. Increases the odds of landing nhl talent.

Higgins is a winger Bozak is a center, also, Bozak is 29 years old and signed for three more years @ 4.2 million - Benning has no interest in my opinion.

Both to blame. If I am a 70 yr old ball of fat and a fight breaks out between young athletes, I would pick up the dug out phone order a pizza , grab a beer from the locker room and maybe a couple of girlie magazines and let them have their fun

They each share some blame but I think Pedro should of shown more class and not try beating on an old man. Gotta love sports

If the old man was stupid enough to rush the mound then he got what he deserved. Pedro pushed him to the ground. It's not like he clocked him in the jaw.

Come to think about it, watching Zimmer get KO'd would have been hilarious.

I've seen it a lot. Lesser-guy challenges someone way out of his weight class. Greater-guy cleans the floor with lesser-guy and everyone gets pissed off at greater-guy. Why?

If you are dumb enough to get involved in a situation where the most likely outcome is you getting pummeled then you get what you deserved.

Happened to me once. Being a tough guy to someone that I had no business being tough too. (frank), did he flatten me. Thank god he was merciful or I'd be typing this using a stick and my mouth.
