Miller being traded will likely depend upon if we make the playoffs this year or not. If we do he stays to try again next year, if we don't probably traded to move up in draft/get more picks for rebuild. - Retinalz
you're 3 too many jazz cigarettes deep if you think Millers getting moved. unless we retain a portion of his salary that guy aint going anywhere. |

I think we are better with NYR right now. With Lundqvist possibly being out for the remainder of the season and being more hopeful to return that guaranteed, they may panic at TDL and get a goalie. We have more than we need. But who would we want from them that they would be willing to get rid of? - Retinalz
I read that NYR are looking for a third line help. With limited cap space it's hard for us to give them anything with their limited cap space. |

If they have a spare t6 forward or good prospect with t6 possibilities a trade can be made. Higgins and either Markstrom or Lack combined don't have a huge cap hit. We can also take something back from them for cap relief. |

Umm, After he told me what happened we've talked briefly but not lately no.
My heart gos out to the guy.
And when I say what happened. Im assuming im the only one aware of that. Not going to inform anyone further.
He had a rough time and is dealing with it accordingly. Ever since he got bopped out of our pool I havent heard from him.
I think he spends his time on HF now.
I take a gander there once in a while but I think he probably has a different name. - vancity787
Everyone goes through crap, but we all handle it differently. Hopefully he comes back one day, always had an interesting point of view.

I don't know what his NTC is like, but who knows? I've given up on trying to figure out what the Canucks are going to do with their goalies. Miller might not like playing here much, he doesn't strike me as a guy that enjoys the media attention that he gets here. |

Yes and no. Even if we somehow pull off a miracle and get to the playoffs this season we are going to get severely pounded. Not only by Gary's refs but also by the team(s) in which we just can't compete against in this tough western conference. If we get swept in a first round series or out in 5 then I would not be shocked to see Miller gone in the summer. There would be no point keeping him here after we start dumping NTC's in the summer.
Miller only has two years left after this season and lots of teams would take that on looking for a no 1 guy for a year or two. |

Also if we go into full rebuild mode then retaining 1mil for a year or 2 doesn't hurt us. In fact it could help us depending on what contracts we offload to remain above cap floor. |

Is miller really getting any media attention? I haven't seen anyone call him out for his poopty games, it's only been about Lack needing or deserving starts.
I'm sure he's loving life here. There are no expectations for this team, zero pressure is on Miller imo. |

Exactly. The attention that Miller has been getting has been a walk in the park compared to the attention the goalies got here, and nationally, the past couple of years |

I wouldn't care if Miller goes. I don't think he has been a huge upgrade over Lack. Not worth the 4 .5. mill difference. |

Markstrom is younger, two years, he'll cost less, he's probably just as good if not better than Lack - so trade Lack as he's a known commodity and keep the younger guy.
Next year move Miller at the TDL. |

If we trade Lack AND Miller who do we go with as goalies? Markstrom is backup ready but doubtful starter ready. Who backs him up? |

The Package will get the Canucks a new goalie. The Package is magical and has many powers. |

Miller wants to stay west coast. LA is set, ANA is set, only team i could see him going to is SJ. Which could happen since Neimi is UFA after this year. I don't think SJ would give any futures, only thing we would get if cap space..... which might be useful this summer with the way things are looking. |

Dallas or PHX might be closer than Vancouver . Besides his wife will probably be out of work soon, that show is stupid
Dallas is two hundred miles farther |
