No idea of what Benning was thinking - VANTEL
Unlike GMMG I like the fact that Benning actually thinks |

Canucks claimed Brandon McMillan off waivers - VANTEL
After missing out on Kane, Benning didn't want to miss out on another local kid |

Blake Price pointed out, that it ties up a contract for a bottom 6 player. Interesting and strange |

Bottom 6 , has less than 8 goals over the last two years. Had one decent year with the ducks scored over 10
I have no idea why Canucks took him. They can't send him down - VANTEL
Prob just a backup in the case of more injuries...doesn't seem like a big deal. |

Can he be immediately assigned to Utica?
That would make the most sense. |

If he is a bust it's your fault. |

From what I understand you can't claim someone on their way down on waivers unless you keep them in the NHL |

You can assign him to the AHL, but he would have to clear waivers again. |

Just going off of stats from year to year
This McMillan is incredibly inconsistent.

They are bringing him in to see if his inconsistence can counter balance our inconsistence. They are hoping he is on , on the nights that we are off or they thought his inconsistency would be perfect for this team - VANTEL
The classic double negative equals a positive? Love it. |

So with Meyers gone and looks like Yandle is next...maybe a great time to see what we can get from 9 d that we are currently carrring and not forgetting Sanguinetti and Beiga in the minors. So far I would say Edler, Tanev are untouchable and everyone else is available. There is no way Benning carries that many D on the roster past the deadline. What do you guys think is the most likely scenario. |

Come on now, Gillis made some bad moves but if anything I think he tended to overthink with his obsession with advanced stats and trying to rely more on numbers than scouting. |

Whether you're under or over thinking things...you're not thinking clearly are you. Thus he wasn't a good General Manager thinker.
Does that make any sense? I'm trying to cover my tracks here |

D always go down injured. I think it's more likely than not that none will get traded prior to the TDL unless a replacement is coming back. |

every year the canucks have the same problem before trade deadline. They need a top 4 D and a top 6 forward. |
