Really they r upset? Wtf... they still have 2 first rd picks

Did they want Kane though? Or will he be another high profile player that is ousted early? (Briere, Vanek) I didn't think Buff had any interest in Kane TBH.

Czechoslovakia hasn't been a country for almost 30 years, so are you sending him back in time?

Kane wasn't happy in the Peg, why would he be happy in Buffalo? Something tells me that could become just as messy.

Buff Better Call Saul and start negotiating!

If I were in the running for McDavid or Eichel, that is exactly who I would want playing wing with one of them. Hell, go get me Lucic for the other wing. Nobody would be messing with their young star.

Assuming they get Mcdavid, 2-3 seasons and they make the right moves they are a good team. Then Kanes contract is up. IDK, I hope he was asked if he would like to play there.

I don't understand why Buffalo included that pick. It seems awfully hard-gotten for Buffalo's sake. The prospects are good ones, too. I was looking forward to seeing if Buffalo could get more than four first rounders this season in what's supposed to be a great draft. Alas.

Myers/Stafford for Kane/Bogosian, I can see that. I guess the same kind of doubts exists between the games of both Myers and Kane.

What is not in doubt is that Buffalo will lose so, so many games between now and the end of the season. No Myers, no Stafford, no Kane. More trades coming from them to be sure.

It depends on his role. Who knows what was going on in Winnipeg. There is a good chance that Ladd and Buff came off all high and mighty after cup wins and alienated him for being a little bit of a loose character.

If he is relied upon and plays with talent, looked at as a leader and top player, maybe he takes that role and runs with it. Something tells me that playing on a line with a McDavid would change his tune quick. A bigger fan base that is excited for him would help as well.

But I'm a fan of his so I think positive.

In the meantime with his destructive nature 2-3 seasons could be an eternity in a small town market franchise. If I'm rebuilding a franchise from the ground up, he at this point in his career is not what I'm building around. I can see things much like his time in the Peg to be pretty volatile. Id also be worried about isolating McDavid from him as well.

What if Buffalo trades Kane for a higher pick than the one they've parted with?

Oh, perfect. This is going to be in the textbooks re: how to tank. Pens close the season in Buffalo; the Sabres should be all but chalk dust by then.

Just saw the return: a conditional third round pick and Jonas Enroth. That's... uh... not much of a return.

If pitt wants to do Bennett for Foligno now is the time to do it. Murray is in the trading mood

What exactly has Bogosian done besides be injury prone in his career?

GMJR has 10+ years on Murray...and both love to deal. If JR can figure out the non-rotary phone in the office, we could see a deal today.

Maybe Buffalo would take Dupuis on LTIR too? For more ridiculous prospects and high picks?

lol.

I don't see why the Pens couldn't have acquired Kane and then used the LTIR cap relief for other moves. I didnt think that was "legal" but Murray is showing it is.

Pass... I think Bennett is being misused similar to Despres. I'm not giving up on him yet.....although maybe the coaches have.
