I understand scratching Bennett for a game or two but it's getting absurd. Especially after that Nucks game. - madmike71

Can't argue with that. The same must be said for Sill/Adams/Sutter. The 3 worst forwards this season.
Bennett has been miscast as a LW and I'm sorry he's not a net crashing type....even though that seems to be what the coach wants. He's a good passer with great vision. If they want something else, I don't see it happening here. It's a shame because I think they're making a mistake. |

Something fishy is going on. There must be an off ice issue with him, you have to try pretty hard for someone like Sill, Ebbett, Adams to keep a spot over you. |

I think it may be Botterill at work. If Bennett doesn't hit waiver status, we can send him down to the AHL during the TDL. |

When Bennett says he is timid to go to the dirty ares, aka the boards and net then you have a serious problem. That's hockey. He's been working on it in practice the past week or so. He will be back eventually. Let him get better at. This is hockey, if you can't play the dirty areas at all then you really have no place in the NHL. |

Anyone here REALLY cap knowledgable?
For example: (not for example, this is the question too). By keeping up Sill and not bringing back up Rust or Farnham, are we saving cap space? As in, is it similar to college football with keeping a player Redshirted when they can only play like, 13 quarters max or something near that? If they play too many NHL games part of their salary counts against our cap and Sill is our designated cap waste chump? |

Ha yeah pretty much, but its just common sense; there is no way in the entire world that Bennett should be scratched over Sill. That's just insane, and if it has to do with fighting, Sill cant even do that. |

I was talking about Tikhonov in particular. Good two way game. He's 27 so maybe hes not under ARI control anymore. Either way, we could trade a 7th or something for his rights. I'd give him a shot....but I'm not one of those "all Russians are lazy" type of people. - YouMeAndDupuis9
The coyotes own his rights until July 1st then he's a UFA. Might be a option for next year |

When he made those comments, I kind of heard the coach talking. Whether he truly feels that way we'll never know.
I'd have more faith in the coaches judgment if I saw others being held to the same standard. |

I'm rather indifferent on scratching Bennett, but Sill and Adams have no place on an NHL roster that isn't in the McEichel sweepstakes.

not saving cap space either way. If sill goes down his cap comes off the books (because he's under a certain about... $1mil maybe?) and the call ups cap goes on. Only thing is Sill would be subject to waivers before going down.....not a chance he gets claimed

woah woah woah...why is everyone such a Talbot hater? Do you people forget that he scored BOTH goals in game 7 to help us with the cup??? |

Then... wtf... Rust showed really good potential and skill while up here. Or if we want a grit player, take one with more skill in Farn -_- |

Anybody think that maybe, just maybe he is hurt again and they are afraid to say it? I think it would be ludicrous to hide that, but he would have no value whatsoever left if he got freaking hurt again. The fans would be done with him, other teams would have no interest in him. This is unlikely, but like I said, just maybe he is. |

I don't think it would be ludicrous... considering hes spent more time hurt than not hurt, he might be TERRIFIED to go on IR again. |

Rust reminds me of Tyler Kennedy the way he hangs on to the puck and creates his own shots. Not sure his style fits on the 4th line though....unless you bump him to 3rd and dro somebody.........rust should definitely be on team next year along with Wilson

Ah don't get me started on TK. Least favorite Pen of the modern era. Always tried to Mario his was through the neurtal zone, go wide, miss a wide angle shot by a mile, break out for the other team. |

No but that doesn't mean he should suit up for old time sake or he's still got it. What about Satan, he had a good game in the finals lets bring him back too! Why did we let Orpik walk? He was good back then, oh wait people get old and slow. |
