Anybody else get a sinking feeling when Plek missed the shot on the open net last night?

To be fair, you could have put Tomas Kaberle on that team and he would have looked like Bobby (frank)ing Orr last night. Montreal trips over their own Richards when they play the bottom-feeders.

Hmm maybe, but good depth players is probably what they lack right now....

I could see them trading him for 2-3 solid NHLer.... aka not Eller and Emelin.

Point is its tough to evaluate a guy on a poopty team when they play Montreal because every poopty team looks like world beaters when they play Montreal.

I'm not saying Petry sucks. I'm just saying take his play last night with a grain of salt.

For some reason I don't think Ron Francis is overly interested in acquiring another 5'10 forward.

I must say, aside from receiving a penalty after Jacob de la Rose was getting past him, he did have a solid game.

How the hell did Tokarski get the 2nd star yesterday? Most of his "incredible saves" were mostly due to the fact he was out of position or down on his knees way too fast.

Edit: Not to mention he looked shaky all game, always losing sight of the puck and giving juicy rebounds.

Exactly. And what has Drouin proven so far huh? A whooping 2 goals scored?

He got the 2nd star? ...

I agree Tokarski was everywhere except at the right place ... I didn't care for his juicy rebounds as well.

Tokarski is not a #1 goalie and probably never will be. A good competitor, good goalie, good teammate apparently, but he should accept his #2 job and embrace it. Nothing wrong with that.

I agree with you, he's not a #1, far from it.

I just thought he looked particularly shaky yesterday. It's not like the Oilers have had numerous quality chances. And when they did, most were from him being out of position + giving a bad rebound.
