What do you him to show?
Galchenyuk 138 goals scored on a winning team
Yakupov 134 goals scored on a loser team
Yeah Yakupov sucks all right.

For Eller and Emelin? Would be crazy not to unload that $$$.
If you wait untill the guy start to put some points, you can't make the deal anymore.
Buy low. +, he is an RFA that should not cost much. |

Daigle averaged 44 points per season over a 616 game NHL career.
That's not first overall type stats, but the guy didn't completely suck. |

yeah I like Emelin and Eller but I do that in a heartbeat although it means alchenyuk would have to move back at center |

As a salary dump, I guess you're right.
As for Yak, I'm just not convinced yet. |

he's a 20 year old 1st overall pick. if you don't take a chance on that then you don't take a chance on anything. |

Of course potential is not everything but the guy has hands and talent. Thing is, I can see the Oilers trading him only for top talent, not depth players. |

They could use De La Rose as a third line center. Might not be ready, but it's an option.
Or Bergevin makes another trade to get someone. |

Hmm maybe, but good depth players is probably what they lack right now....
I could see them trading him for 2-3 solid NHLer.... aka not Eller and Emelin. |

Speaking of which, watched the Patrik Stefan fail again last night on YouTube. Isn't it amazing how you just google Patrik Stefan and BAM, first thing is his empty net fail. |

I would do that deal if ONLY to clear the $7.6 mil off the books that Eller and Emelin make. I'd sure like that $7.6M to worry about resigning Galchenyuk and Beaulieu, and of course, Yakupov. |

I think Edmonton's problem is they don't have any depth. |

Yeah, I guess. Not sure mtl has what it takes to get him.
It's just that getting a pure rental is not the greatest thing. Unless it's really cheap and you think you can sign the guy next season. |

Edmonton management has Gainey-type ego, I can't see them accepting reality. They will focus on similar talent IMO. I can't wait for their next move. |
