Problem is, every summer it's the same thing. Some claim the team is much improved, that all the key elements are in place and the leadership issues are fixed, goaltending is the best tandem in the league yada yada yada... only to realize a few months later they are closer to a lottery pick than a 1st round exit.

No idea why, but it seems that the highs are too high and the lows are too low with that fan base. At least, part of it.
