So Montreal being the #1 team in terms of goals against is somewhat only because of Price, but the Kings being out of the playoffs has nothing to do with Quick...

Kings are out of the playoffs because the defense took a huge hit. Willie Mitchell is gone to Florida where he is captain. And Slava Voynov arguably the top defenseman last year decided to toss his wife around. Regher isn't getting any younger. Kings will probably pick up a couple solid defense at the deadline and make another cup run.
And Price being a wizard is fine. A goalie is part of the team. Patriots wouldn't of won the Super Bowl without Brady right?
