Blake has been rumored to the Leafs for so long. I remember Sportsnet doing a bit once during a trade deadline broadcast. They said there was a big trade coming and the Leafs were getting a guy whose last name contained B-L-A-K-E.

Bolts just drafted D'Angelo this year. Koekkoek is definitely expendable as he was drafted to be the offensive dynamo... but injuries have curtailed his development. If you can get rid of him for a guy like Franson in return, you do it. Guys WANT to play in Tampa for a tremendous organization... look at Cally, Boyle, Stralman, etc... people want to come here now. If you really wouldn't want to trade Koekkoek in a Franson deal in hopes of extending him this offseason, you're absolutely nuts. You'd rather have Barberio as your offensive dman?? There is DEFENSE in the term offensive defenseman you know (Barberio missed the memo).

Franson is pretty much the only point producing right handed d-man available.
multiple teams are interested, so the lightning are gonna have to pony up something more than just a 2nd rd pick to get him. I wonder if the lightning would part with Connolly and a pick?
