For the Leafs sake, I hope Shanny is secretly working this deal. I'm fine with fair value for Franson, and wouldn't even mind Gardiner. He would look real nice with Garrison, who can mentor and insulate him a bit. He'll also have the benefit of playing with guys like Hedman and Stralman who can teach him that mysterious art of "positioning" that seems to elude JG.
