Make that 8...

Neal was brought here for Sid, but Sid wasn't playing because of the concussion. By the time Sid returned, it would have been dumb to take Neal away from Malkin.

Peter Sykora is um.....Peter Sykora.

When Iggy was brought here, Kuni, Sid and Duper was one of the best lines in the league. While I would have done some experimenting when it went cold against the B's, It's hard to judge anything from the limited time Iggy was here. I mean, Iggy got here and then Orpik destroyed Sid's face.

I thought Sid and Horny were great together.... I personally think the coach is trying to spread the wealth around.

So, he has gone from winning the batting title to under the Mendoza line in the matter of an hour.

Haha crap EK why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beau has played his last game as a Penguin.

- nbartley9

Goddamn shame if you ask me. After all of his poop luck with injuries I thought he deserved an extended look with Malkin especially when we're pretty much guaranteed a playoff spot. Unfortunately Malkin went out pretty soon after Beau came back. Never got a real chance. Not his fault that Sutter sucks.

Now we're gonna end up trading him for scraps. He has no value. Would definitely have more value to the organization holding on to him and giving him one last chance with Malkin than he would being traded for nothing.

Such is life, I guess...

Have you seen everybody's fancy stats when playing with Sutter. Wow! He absolutely kills every player on his line. Kills them like a bucket of rat poison.

So far this year Rutherford has been a man of his word. I just read Dejans article where je talked with JR and he said they they're waiting to see where they're at once Blake is back next week. The benching of BB is because he won't go to the net. Also said they were never in on Kane. Grain of salt I know, but he has done what he's said so far.

On a plus side... going 1 for 7 makes him qualified to play for the Pirates in any year but the last 2 since 1991

Counting is tough...

edit: Just to help you out... you are 1 for 6.

- Guile

I meant 1 of 3 posters agreeing w/me, not on 1 of 6 points in my post....

Whatver!!

Key point was/is Malkin seems to adapt with whomever he plays with. Sid seems to be more sensitive.

I agree Bennett has the ability to be a top 6, he is the only young forward we have with such high potential.

The injury bug screwed that up, and it looks like permanently.

I think he is going to NJ

You can it just has to be approved by the league, it happened last season with Horton.

Hossa played 87 percent of his shifts with Sid and put up 26 points in 20 playoff games, 10 points in the finally 12 regular season games... yeah it took time, but they clicked pretty damn well in the playoffs.

I don't even think they even really tried to play Sykora with Sid, he had way better Chemistry with Malkin, I don't even think he was given the chance to mesh with Sid.

Great shot, but I definitely do not think Neal can skate, the dude was pretty slow.. which is why he was a better fit for Malkin's East-West game, as opposed to Sid's North-South, download game...

Disco screwed that up by not putting him where he was going to succeed, that's not Sid's fault. But he still put up 11 points in 13 regular season games, and 12 points in 14 playoff games...

I agree with the regular season, but the playoffs he disappeared and often took boneheaded penalties in the offensive zone/on the power play.

Sure, he's crushing it, so is Sid... 53 points for Sid in 47 games, and 52 for Geno in 46 games. They've both been producing.

JR is a rare GM that actually says what's on his mind. Not sure if I like it or not. While it's interesting as a fan, I think in today's world of big money/contracts and ego's, it's a mistake to ever give that kind of insight.

You guys hate on Ryan so much, and I honestly don't understand it... sometimes his usage of charts can be excessive, but man, after reading other teams bloggers... I'm very thankful for the time and effort that he puts into his articles. If he feels adamantly towards a player.. than so be it, he is here to give his opinion. I also enjoy the fact that he expands upon the graphs and charts that he uses, not just posting them and leaving it up to the readers to decipher.

I kind of agree. He post blogs daily as well. Gives us something to talk/argue about. I've grown to like these HERO charts too. I see why he doesn't interact with us because everyone just rips him. Kind of messed up how he rips us though on twitter, but I guess we had it coming with all the jokes we crack on him.
