See, this I am OK with. Scratching a player in order to help him develop & re-focus his game, fine by me. Most players aren't finished products & expecting them to be is counter productive. Work with him & as long as he is willing to put in the work, he'll come out the other side a better player.

Overall, stuff like this just feels very different from when Despres was scratched & sent down to WBS without a second thought or explanation.

See, this I am OK with. Scratching a player in order to help him develop & re-focus his game, fine by me. Most players aren't finished products & expecting them to be is counter productive. Work with him & as long as he is willing to put in the work, he'll come out the other side a better player.

Yup. Before he would be sent down and hopefully he would learn somehow on his own. The new staff is actually working with him step by step through it all. I saw another tweet earlier about how Beau was on the ice or in the weight room well after everyone already left. He will come back hungry.

I agree Bennett has the ability to be a top 6, he is the only young forward we have with such high potential.

The injury bug screwed that up, and it looks like permanently.

No, he is right. He is not a top 6 right now, but he is working towards it. I had no problem trading him for Kane as we still get a young forward back. Now that is out of the question and with his scratches cleared up, we aren't giving up on him.
