it doesn't matter that you "don't believe" EK. you don't believe him because you've seen the results of what he claims as facts and inside sources.
you may take it as pure entertainment, but that doesn't change the fact that eklund passes himself off as something hes not. and uses plausible logic to invent rumours.

he does nothing of these sorts. representing a website and yourself as something your not isn't ok in any way shape or form. no matter how meaningless you feel the circumstances are.

However, he has recently changed his schtick abit to end his statements with question marks. which he assumes probably absolves himself of the myth he stated in the same sentence.
I think this is even more disingenuous....what exactly is he saying by doing this? if he doesn't know, then why is he saying it? just because theres some plausibility to it (santorelli and franson a package deal?) doesn't make it any more truthful than something that has no plausibility to it (Crosby and malkin for Gordon?)

I can see where you are coming from but, imagine how many conversations are had between all & any guy related to an NHL team? Doesn't matter how odd ball something may seem doesn't mean that someone hasn't chewed the fat about it. I'm not defending Ek here I just see it plausible to think that a lot of shyte gets spoken between guys & maybe some of it ends on here - that's why it's hockeybuzzzzzz not the Gods honest hockey truth or dare. Just saying that's all.

Most great trades would be that critical that only a handful of people would know about them - it gets out in a rumour then probably 1 less person has a job.

You cannot always believe what you read. Journalism as a whole has become a business more for money than actual facts & story telling. Sell the story anyway you can to sell mags, or get hits or get viewers on TV. The more sensational the better, no matter what no matter who. Everyone is fair game.

What's that old saying.......never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Add a little controversy & you have a great story!

Eklund is a joke. It is so obvious he just makes up 90% of the garbage he throws out there. You can always tell when he wants to crank up the click rate as he will toss out a headline with Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton or Philly in it. 2) I'm getting a top pairing defender under 30 years old.
3) I'm getting a top line center of equal age and skill.
4) I'm getting an elite goaltender, top 5 in the league elite.
