The Pens once traded Recchi in a package for Tocchet. If something involving BB for Kane happens, it would be semi reminiscent of that deal. Hopefully the results would play out similarly as well. There is no denying that Kane is the type of player built for the playoffs, and BB just isnt. - Rawdog9755
I cringe every time BB goes near the boards or gets hit now. Come playoffs, he will snap like a twig. |

if something involving BB for Kane happens, i wouldnt think twice. i dont see how the cap would realistically work, but BB going out for kane wouldnt make me think twice. youd need a hell of a lot more going back the other way too, but he wouldnt be a piece that would give me pause.

They would only be similar if Beau would have been 2nd in scoring last year in the playoffs. Recchi was a beast for the Pens before they traded him. - cap1681
I was being nice with the analogy to drive the point home to the people in love with BB because of cap hit and advanced stats. |

The thought of Kane and Hornqvist playing net front on the PP should have everybody drooling. |

Drooling over something that can't, won't, happen isn't worth it. |

maybe it would finally be enough to move hornqvist up to crosbys line with perron.
perron/crosby/hornqvist
kane/malkin/kunitz
while if the pens were going to go all in again on another big fish, i still think id rather it be hanzal or another talented third line center with size, that top 6 is pretty crazy. takes a good bit of suspension of reality though |

As unlikely as the whole thing sounds, its fun to fantasize about. Id say since we dont have a 1st to give, its gotta be DP. - Rawdog9755

Toronto radio is going off on how the Jets don't want Kane's 5.?whatever mill AAV on their books. They like him as a player but not at his contract.
I don't know who it is, but he is an idiot.
Also called Kane a top six tweener hahaha |

Apparently, WPG has been using him on the 3rd line due to chemistry issues, so that's probably where the last part came from. |

On their team, he is. Whether he's micast or not, they need forward help, not back end help. |

We would only need 3 million to cover Kane this year. We have around 1 million last I heard. Bennett would give us what about 500k? Same for Harrington? Not sure how his contract works but that would be two million. Only need to clear out another million to make it work out. We can hold onto him next year too. If they got rid of Harrington in the deal and didn't sing Hoff or Martin (which is what would happen) then we will see all of our prospects D up. But then we will have to sign Perron next year and then, Despres, Mattaa etc etc... NO clue how we can make the cap work for now/ the future |
