Agreed. I think DP or BD would look good with him, IMO BD would look best. At least all Hoff might be a little cheaper to sign next year

Before the season started I thought we'd keep Hoff only if he wanted to stay and signed for a discount. After this season, though, with his string of injuries and generally disappointing production, I'm not sold that he'd get 6 mil from anyone. Definitely not a contender.

He isn't more than a third liner, a pretty good 4th line guy like King. I'd bite if the price was right, but it most likely isn't.

Actually, it's the ONLY way.

Kassian would be perfect. A big, light frame to play an imposing perimeter game. He had 14 of his career 25 NHL goals last year, so he's clearly entering his prime. Weak shot? Yes. Takes shifts off? Check. Scores just enough to stay in the lineup? No, not lately.

Being 6'3, 200+ in the OHL allows a player to get away with this kind of thing. It worked for Chris Simon. The NHL, however, has continually exposed Kassian and frankly the simpering figure of Mike Johnston isn't going to be the one which reminds him that his game is one of hard work and driving the net. ZK would most certainly play a Pierre-Marc Bouchard pattern, minimal hard work game in a Penguins sweater.
