Gainey told every team that they would be listening to all offers for either goalie and they would take the best one.

Halak for Eller and Schultz was the best offer they got.

- mr.peanut

well...if that's the case, it kinds of tells you what value Halak had.

Seems the general thought among GMs was "Flash in a pan"

Sort of true.

That was the best they could get for Halak, Price was never on the table.

That's what Gainey told me anyway.

As much as I don't like the Pats, this Marshawn Lynch fella's antics are making me dislike the Seahwaks also.

Sabres GM: NHL trade market ‘very, very quiet’

maybe it's quiet because no one wants to acquire players from a team that's been outscored by 81 goals.

i personnally think that Sekac should be playing on the wing with pacs and pleks...he's that good...better than weise ...weise should be playing on the third line with prusty and eller... parenteau with galchenyuk and gally...desharnais could be implicated in a trade ...himself or eller i should say... DD as everyone calls him would be better a third centermen ... but most of all ..mr Therien has got to stop messing with these changes and lines ..i get it when things go wrong a few changes r ok .. but to pull off a mike holmes and re do all the lines and try to find some chemistry somewhere....plse give it up

thanks

DD or Eller, whichever brings the best return back. Personally, I think Eller brings the most back. And if Eller, why not trade him after a great playoff last year, why wait until now. By low, sell high for crying out loud!

As with the stock market. You can always cash out when you are 'ahead'. But you'd miss out on the breakout.

Players tend to breakout, last post-season was an indication that Eller could be a 50 point 2/3rd center.

So far it would seem as though he has flat-lined as a 3rd liner. Hindsight is awesome, why didn't you buy Apple stock yesterday before the earnings?

Doing something over 15 games is not an indication that you can do it over 82. It's like when fans see their team have a good 10 game stretch and think it's an indication if how good their team can be.

Is that a shot at Leaf fans?

And I think the 15 games are more important then the 82. A lot of guys disappear at that time of year: Plekanecs.

I was a keep-Halak-and-trade-Price-because-his-trade-value-his-through-the-roof, I can admit that. Not because I thought one was better than the other. Because trading Price could have solved one or a few problems. I'm happy with Price today, not so happy with the return for Halak but I DON'T CARE HAHAHAHAHA

stopped reading there and omd your so dumb for thinking for a minute that Halak was more than a flash in the pan!!!!

The ppg is also misleading since he vanishes for stretches during the season.
