well I feel betrayed now over his depiction of me as that creep but yes it felt pretty good. it was warm to my heart, brings me back to christmas by a fireplace, the sweet aroma of burning logs & christmas trees enjoying a hot cup of cocoa

you have a lot of imagery in your head today. you should finally write that great canadian novel.

The lonely lumberjack stared out of his frosty log cabin window, hoping to catch a glimpse of the beast that terrorized him on these long winter nights. The night sky was clear and the stars and moon illuminated the shrubs and trees around his cabin. The crackling and snapping of the maple tree branches and shattered glass were the last sounds he ever heard.

..
..
..

The beaver sank his buck teeth into the neck of his plaidshirt victim. Blood gushed out of his jugular artery and painted the walls red with blood. The flag that hung next to the moose head blended in with the walls. The beaver apologized after his kill, but a beaver's gotta eat.

The end.

Bob MacKinaw flipped off his TV in disgust. His beloved Habs had just lost another game to the mighty Maple Leafs. He liberally dashed his pancakes with maple syrup and took comfort in his night time snack. He reached into his cabinet hoping to find a bottle of Canadian Club.

"Ahhh! Zut Tabarnak!!!" He was out of whiskey. So he went to round up his huskies and sleigh. He didn't really like to leave the comfort and confines of his log shack, particularly because he didn't being around other people. He traveled through the cold white desert for a half hour. Thoughts of the recent Habs game kept him hot-headed and warm.

He arrived at SAQ and filled his backpack with as many bottles as he could. He ran past the checkout counter but apologized, so it was okay. He didn't enjoy stealing but he had to. He never made it out the door. A gunshot echoed in the store and Bob never got up again.

"That'll teach you to come back here and steal, Eh!!!!"

Thanks man

Perhaps we should have a short story thread

Write a short story - 2-4 paragraphs & then when you're done, pick a category (Sci-Fi, Horror, Comedy) and a key word (like "Eh") for the next author to work in their story
