that is good news. my only advice is don't settle. if you have certain items you want, stick to them. its a huge step kick. no reason to rush it. Very encouraging though.

check around and see how long 1BR are on the market for future reference. BUT it will be beneficial to familiarize yourself with the process.

yes. kickbro is all like DO IT! but i know i'll find a 2 bedroom that's bigger and better a month from now if i settle for one like this.

i'm not sure kickbro understands that i'm buying a house, not moving into an apartment.

everything is pretty much dependent on the property taxes. this one was only $2300, some of these badboys are in the 5 thousands!

definitely a plus. in the end its gonna be your home kick. the decision is will it be something you are happy with a few years down the road. not just immediately.

definitely a plus. in the end its gonna be your home kick. the decision is will it be something you are happy with a few years down the road. not just immediately.

yeah i'm gonna try to make sure i make the right choice. you can always get out of an apartment but this is gonna be my home. i'm gonna actually live at whatever place i choose and make it mine. i don't want to spend 20 or 30 years saying "i don't have enough closets" or "this living room is small as poop."

Put 3-5 years in and then flip it. The money you put into building equity as opposed to rent will allow for a few cheaper upgrades...paint/light fixtures/counter tops will add some value and even if you walk away with 25Gs more its something that catch banks attentions
