That's one thing I think Canadians really take for granted. I can't understand how a first world country could deny easy access to proper medical care to anyone. People ignoring health issues or not getting second opinions because they don't have coverage blows my mind. It's tragic. I'm being genuine with this one.

It's unfathomable to me how a country can allow something like that to happen. What (frank)ing use is a government if it doesn't provide basic protections for it's citizens?

Legitimately baffled by it.

I kind of get that, but that seems like one of the basic functions a government SHOULD have.

How is access to health care not a right? Or is this one of those things where because a piece of paper written by a bunch of slave owners 250 years ago doesn't say it, it's not the right thing to do?
