i miss Kovalev. back in the day, it was really tough for teams to key on the point men when Kovalev was wandering around, because you never knew if he was asleep or not.

So true. Funny, but true.

The last time the Habs "tossed" in a D-man didn't turn out so well for us.

And I agree, that's too much for Eberle. Roster forward, goaltending prospect, mid-high round pick. That should be enough.

- 3M

I would think so. Eberle is about 1 mill over paid, he hasn't played well this year, he's small. I just don't see why he would command a massive return. No one is giving up a first line center for him, or a top 2 D. I think Edm will move Yakupov amd Schultz and go after a top goalie to let their younger D develop without having every mistake end up in the net. Actually, Edm is just a complete mess, I have no idea where they need to start as everything is a mess.

they have plenty of picks in the next two drafts.
- EricEngels

And 2015 is a top notch draft, one thing Bergevin has proven so far is that he likes to acquire picks, not trade them.

Christian Thomas, guys.

Why?

Because they want the better players(Hudon, DLR) to play 20 minutes a game, not 4th line minutes.

So it makes perfect sense to call up a player that proved he doesn't belong in the NHL.

I really don't think MacT wants to tinker with his losing roster right now, not until June anyway.

Well... The 4th line tomorrow could be Andrighetto - Bournival - Thomas. I think Thomas would fit on such a line.

That's most likely too. They aren't saving anything this season so why give away your big guns. Although I could see Yakupov moved this season due to his play, contract year, Russian factor.

I think the chances of Yak being in Edmonton next year are very slim.

For sure. He's traded at the deadline for a first, and a prospect or two.
