legit question.

he doesn't get as much time as he would here, and different personnel. Cammalleri plays right half-wall, which pushes Jagr left or to the other unit.

Other reason:

Gonchar-Jagr.

Subban-Markov-Jagr.

And everything I wrote in the blog about the half-wall, and what's missing there.

- EricEngels

wait...what?

He is second on his team in total power play time on the ice and on the Habs only Markov and PK have more.

Thrower yes, Lehkonnen maybe, Reway no.

I like the little Reway too much to trade him for a one season rental.

- DirtyDozen

Really? Reway would be the first guy I'd trade.

- DoubleDown

Well considering it was for a first and not a second....you have great reason to not be sold.

Actually, Subban needs to shoot a lot less on the guy standing right in front of him.
- Pecafan Fan

Just wondering out loud here. PP struggles mightily now and Subban's sots are down significantly. His shooting % is way up though. Just curious why PP has worked for years with the 1 timer from the guys I mentioned but now nothing

He's so quick and shifty, he was able to change out of his gear and into the goalie's gear in the blink of an eye, make spectacular save after spectacular save, then change into his regular gear and score a goal.

Trade him right (frank)ing now.

Well, they miss the net 3 out of 4 times when shooting from the blueline.

That's a bit much for just Eberle imo. But prob not far off. I agree with Dd, Fucale, and the 2nd. If the Habs were tossing in Tinordi I would want a D back for the rest of the season.

Perhaps, but wouldn't work with the Habs cap space.

The last time the Habs "tossed" in a D-man didn't turn out so well for us.

And I agree, that's too much for Eberle. Roster forward, goaltending prospect, mid-high round pick. That should be enough.

EDIT: Edmonton also has concerns about having too many contracts on the books, so they probably wouldn't do a deal where more contracts came to Edmonton than those going out.

Without people creating traffic, and demanding attention in front of the net, the point shot is ineffective. In the Kovalev/Cammy/Vanek days, there had to be more attention to those players, giving the D good looks and shots.

i miss Kovalev. back in the day, it was really tough for teams to key on the point men when Kovalev was wandering around, because you never knew if he was asleep or not.

Yeah, they know the forwards aren't all that dangerous. Which leaves Markov and Subban to cover.
