Here is some more food for thought, during the WJC, Gauthier was the best at covering for a pinching D man, the guy has the smarts even though he looks like Hudor and has hands of stone.

I'm thinking the Goat can possibly surpass his projected ceiling one day (3rd line centre) if he can demonstrate continued progress in a 2 way game and really hard work in the corners or in front of the net. Hands or not, win the puck and shoot on net is something the Leafs will definitely need going forward.

I really liked his game.

Not flashy, not going to score a ton of goals, but he's pretty strong on the puck and miserable to play against.

- BINGO!

I noticed he is always aware of where he is on the ice, skating on a straight line he was good, turning is where he has some trouble, not good on his edges but I like your assessment.

Why? okay, say in the off season then, do you think Dubas gets to be GM?
- PinkSock

Just totally a guess - he's not even a full season in the gig id imagine it would be a few years before they'd even consider it if ever.

If the Habs go out and get Jagr, they will need to hire some Long Term Care workers.

Markov/Gonchar/Jagr (frank) they might as well sign Brodeur to be the backup

- Garnie

They went after Gonchar because they missed out on Robidas.

where i do agree

just wanted to add you can always increase speed by working at it with powerskating w special skating coaches

- Lucas Neilson

Barbara.
I remember the first time our coach brought in a figure skating coach to teach us power skating. We were all, wtf...a girl...give me a break. She knew what we were thinking through experience, so the very first thing she said to break the ice. "Try to catch me." And the race was on...but she was skating backwards and we couldn't come close to her.

I thought he was being groomed for the gig, a few years learning from the current group of management will ruin this kid

What is the point of having a Shanahan media appearance? Nothing significant is happening or the media would have broke it already.

Gonna be fed some bullpoop damage control nonsense to attempt to keep fans vested since most are in full blown tank Nation.

(frank) off, MLSE

If the whole Mike Babcock dream-fantasy doesn't work out (which it won't), then Dale Hunter would be, imo, the very next best option.
