Park in the underground parking across from the Real Sports Bar...less than a stones throw from the rink and eat there before and have a few beers somewhere else after if you want. The bar is worth going to if you haven't been - food is good. Call and make a reservation before to be sure, or get there early. Isn't cheap but I gather you're not too worried about that.
Make it easy on yourself.

agreed.

he does have the ability to look very ordinary at times... such as last night (not saying it was "ALL HIS Fault" - not at all.. but I don't know if he made one momentum changing save.)

I guess that is the Leafs fault though... they didn't allow sufficient shots for Bernier to get warm - thereby effecting his advanced stats / opportunity to effect momentum.

or something like that.

- BorjeFan4Ever

Wasn't Bernier's fault at all IMO

No amount of saves helps us score more goals last night

Before you know the return? I would sure be listening.
- Woderwick

Sure I would listen for anybody but he should be an extremely hard bargain. Nonis should be saying if you want him really wow me.

If you are looking at Realsports, try making a reservation sooner rather than later - especially on nights when the Leafs play.

Food is good, but as with much MLSE, it's overpriced. Beer selection wasn't that great if memory serves correct.

Bogosian and vermette would be the key additions on my list but all comes down to price obviously

can someone please explain to me what the fascination with Vermette is based on?

agreed... Leafs weren't winning that one in any case.

certainly wasn't his fault... but he did look ordinary by his own standards.

thanks guys, much appreciated!

slightly less conventional...

park across Yonge street from the HHOF - I believe its 121 Front Street underground - slightly secret little spot.... $18 bucks after 5pm.

consider dining above the HHOF at what used to be called Movenpick - now RichTree...
great wide selection of draft beers and wide range of interesting food selections - not cheap.

short walk to the ACC thereafter.

Rielly for Orielly. No way.

Bogosian I would be interested in

We should not trade JVR. Especially with ano older player like marleau coming back.

Lupul, Gardiner + for Bogosian? Ummm...

god bless those that pay $300 for upper level center ice! I'd be a pissed fan if i paid that much and my team did anything short of a Cup Finals appearance. I know it's apples and oranges, but I've paid $30 for center ice row 4 of the upper tier for Devils games.
- MartysBetter88

The product on the ice certainly makes it worthw........ Ah, (frank) it

You know how I know that science is garbage? Because every single idiot who is obssessed with science has the exact same opinion on the Earth revolving around the Sun.

If there's one thing that tells me something is right, it's when everybody is completely inconsistent about the facts. That's the true test of knowledge.

You know how I know that analytics is garbage? Because every single idiot who is obsessed with advanced stats has the EXACT SAME opinions on players. They all say the same stuff. Bozak sucks. Kadri is the second coming of Jesus. Gardiner is amazing. etc. etc. There is no difference in their opinions. Why even have scouts, just use computers if the numbers tell you everything.

It was in reply to a guy who said that analytics are garbage because "everybody has the same opinion".

If we run down Antoine's corsi numbers and run them against other analytical numbers, he's basically the missing link between the Leafs and the playoffs.

Loose Moose is under newer owners (same as Duke's Refresher) and is a place you can get some craft beers.
I enjoy Pilsner lager type beers so you can try a SteamWhistle (although the brewery is close the ACC and you can get a free sample and cheaper beer there), Beau's LugTread, or an Oast, all good.
Anything close to the stadium is a little pricey, so it depends on where you're staying in Toronto and how far you're willing to travel before the game for a beer.
C'est What and Volos Bar are hipster hangouts but great beer.
Beer Academy isn't far from there.

ahhhh...

so we trade 2 1sts and a 2nd for him... and then immediately offer him 10years at league max?

I understand the spirit or the intention of the advanced stats themselves, but CLEARLY they haven't matured to the point where any semi-rational individual actual believes they are "the gospel".

If the formula was accurate enough we wouldn't need the teams or the players... we could just sim the entire season on XBox or whatever.

The problem I have at this juncture with the statistics (and I'm admittedly a bit of a stats "snob" - not specific to hockey) is two fold

1) stats can be rigthly or wrongly interpreted either by accident or on purpose
2) and the ding-dongs singing the praises currently of the advanced stats can't even begin to identify the holes in the stats or the models... let alone understand what they might mean.

so in other words - its immature shart being spewed by guys trying to self justify.

too harsh?
