Okay, So we know that the core is problem. That's mainly the top 6 and top 4 plus your goalie. Assuming Clarkson can't be traded. Who do we keep? Who do we try and trade? and for what?

I say Bozak/Kessel/Lupul are traded.

I say JVR/Kadri/Clarkson stay.

I say Phaneuf/Gardiner get traded.

I say Reilly/Franson stay.

Reimer gets traded

Bernier stays.

Tank is on!

- steve362

well - if the tank is really on... why not Bernier before he re-signs (and has less trade value) as well.

if Reimer is as bad as everyone makes him out to be... then the plummet down the standings should parallel last season's late collapse.

Something gonna give in Edmonton. Either Nuge , ebbs, hall, yak, draisaitl , Shultz , petry or one of the 2 2015 picks will be moved or some sort of combination of them all.

Real life person at work today suggested Kessel for Hopping Nuggets and Eberle.

Edmonton's dumb, but not that dumb.

On your side without hesitation but would Edmonton do that.

I dunno. I'd give up more if necessary. I was just making a point.

I'm talking about the over evaluation that these stats seem to create.

Like applauding Edmonton for their vastly improved possession numbers after their first 3 games? That's the part that makes Mirtle look ridiculous in that article.

Eklund saying Lupul/Gardiner for Bogosian.
I'd almost do Lupul+Gardiner for Bogosian

He's getting it for a reason. He's a good young goalie.

2015 1st.

If it's top 2, I'd trade them the #3 overall AND E.Staal.

Here we go again with the flag waving, settle for mediocrity instead of being patient, looks good that you love Dions deal too...

I would give it to him. He has been stellar ever since he has got here even with terrible defense.

I think that's more likely.

He's been moved to the wing now too and it looks like a real good fit next to his little bro.

He's not getting any help offensively. He will be fine. He's not the dominating Eric Staal he was but is still a good 1st line C/Winger

Not really, if there is no goalie out there that is worth getting or age appropriate compared to bernier, then signing bernier to that contract is fine, just as the flames did for hiller. As long as we having someone relatively decent holding down the fort with young talent whichever way we go, either that be selling off the team or not, we still need someone there in net. And i dont want reimer there holding down the fort. So relieving reimers salary cap will bring some cap back to us. And the Dion trade was fine because we sent out garbage the other way. Least Dion has some value. 7M that he got signed to is still moveable.
