I don't think JVR has a poopty attitude. He's a player that needs to play with some players that play defense. He would commit too. He's off limits. In a cap world he is a valuable player especially when you have some bad contracts on the team like the leafs do. - Santo_44
everyone needs to play defence. that's the point. that's what the game is today. you need as many people buying into the 200-foot game, whether they're sound defensive players or not. the days of guys blowing the zone early and hanging out for bombs is over. it's not how successful hockey is played. Horachek's "5-5-5" idea... that's how it's played. |

Not sure if you are all over the place, or got RJ and Ryan O'Reilly confused - TheThrill
More of, trading for Duchene, even up for Kessel, or trading him to Columbus for one of their young defenders and a draft pick. I'd do Ryan O'Reilly, for Phaneuf, then go for moving Kessel for a defenseman. |

I don't think Kessel will be traded. I just don't see it happening nor do I think any GM in this league has the balls to make that kind of trade anymore but if we are talking Kessel...
Kessel, Bozak, And a defensmen for Couture or Pavelski and Marleau would be awesome. |

I'm getting heat from my comments on Healy and Kypreos last night so let me be clear. I don't care what 2 bricklayers say about a surgeon.

I think bozak should be traded and gardiner, go out there and get a more defensive center who will work hard (O'Rielly, Mike Richards, etc) ... and when lupul/jvr joined that line, their +/- just got worse. So either kessel or bozak is the problem regarding work ethic. Instead of lupul being sacrificed first, i think Bozak should be traded first. I like kessel because he made lupul/jvr have career years |

I think we are trying to be realistic about who has a sh1tty attitude that we could get a return for.
JVR fits the bill.
I am sure the Leafs would love to trade Lupul and Clarkson, but I think that is pretty much impossible except for maybe Lecavalier or Richards. - Aetherial
Clarkson I agree with. Lupul I don't. I think you could get something for him. We'd only be looking to free cap space really from either so the return could be 7th round picks for all I care.
Teams don't have the room necessarily but we could take a shorter, smaller cap hit contract. |

Kadri!!!!! - Woderwick
Kadri is a keeper, he has bought in, and I will contest that despite the chirping in th emedia, Wilson had the right idea making him sit in the minors when people were clamouring to bring him up... Gotta make guys sit like Detroit does so they appreciate when they make it, no entitlement... |

JVR is the same as the rest, blames the fans for throwing jerseys instead of taking responsibility, and that bot floats half of every game, then he scores a goal and everyone thinks he tries hard... - aminnes
If you actually think getting rid of JVR at 4M per is a good idea, then you are part of the problem. We got him via highway robbery and hes only getting better. It would be a waste if we did not get at least a decade out of him. |

Agree, Kadri has top line potential, albeit a 60 - 70 point guy, but 200 ft game... Having a guy like Mike Richards instead of Bozak would help change the culture thats for sure... |
