Nein. Edmonton is not winning again. That was the whole point of instituting the lottery the way it is. To stop things like Edmonton from happening.
- BINGO!

They win and finally pick a defenceman this year.

fringe playoff team. they are where most had them.
- wingz4life

Exactly, I don't get the outrage of the team being where I expected them to be.

I just dont see it happening.. unless they trade lots of players away
Shanny doesnt seem to operate quickly

expect a bubble team with a pick in the 8-14 range

- senstroll

9th pick. Just like I have said since September.

pretty much, i dont even blame carlyle that much, like what was carlyle doing wrong really? i just hated that he never brings up good prospects from the AHL but neverless he had the forwards clicking pretty good before all the injuries occurred and the defense is still pretty ass which he couldnt do anything about.. i blame Nonis. He says this team is improved when its not. So he should be fired
- DougGilmour_93

Nonis improved the team to an extent. However, the glaring hole of defence and team defence was left mostly untouched.

To be fair, the team defence has gone up a bit with the additions of Winnik, Komo etc. The guys we need to play team defence aren't though.

That is because... WHO ELSE DO WE HAVE?

This team needs a trade to change the makeup. To much skilled, soft players. I would make a play for Richards in LA. You wouldn't have to give up much for him and he has lots of game left and could be a nice 2nd line center in our weak Eastern Conference.

- Hockey_Reverend

I said the same thing yesterday, but man, 6 more years I think...

The only way you do it is if you can send back at least one bad contract in return. Lupul is almost an even up trade.

But the Richards cap hit is a little more for longer I think.

Sadly...so is Bozak.

Keep me away from the subway tracks today.

Might aswell try. The thought of Bur with the Sedins was retarded to begin with. Who knows. Magic could flair.

well i believe komarov was a given to bring back to this team and winnik/santorelli were good depth signings but that is nothing flashy for a GM. Easily you could of made these signings, or any GM for that matter

Man, I think after last nights stitches and return to the game, and then this comment, Polak is the man. If anyone should know what the problem with this team is, Polak should know because he came from a good defensive team in the west.

Leo for captain, Polak for assistant captain...

Toronto has always like players with a bit of heart and a bit of a chip on their shoulder.

Perhaps that is why some people find this leafs team "unlikeable".

It would be fun to see. It would actually have some validation to Crosby to Pitts was "fixed".

They try these magic line combinations for a minute and a half then bail out which oozes confidence in your players.
