You missed what I meant.

When someone dares to say Kessel is this or that, you reply they don't have proof.

Here, Polak calls out some players without mentioning Kessel. Is Kessel part of those players or not?

- Pecafan Fan

I've never once said kessel is perfect.

When did this happen?

It's pretty obvious Kessel was part of the group ol' watermelon face was referring to. Anyone who denies that is lying to themselves.

Bernier was awful last night. That is the reason we lost. He hast to get out more and cut down the angle of those far out shots...
- Hockey_Reverend

I don't want to sound like Bernier's defender here b/c he didn't have a "great" night. But he let in 5 goals. Two were deflections by his own defensemen (Franson and Gardiner) right in front of his net. Two were practically unstoppable shots off the post and in - not too many keepers (if any) would have stopped either of those. Goalies rely on luck to some extent and he didn't get any last night.

More than just Phil though Lee....we all know that. Not absolving anyone, but no way is this the result of just one person.

Just because those shots went off posts doesn't mean they are unstoppable. He needs to be out more on some of those shots. I think the 5th goal was a guy coming down the wing and beating him with a wrist/snap shot from the dot. He was not out far enough. A play should not be able to score that angle if the goalie comes out far enough... I know Bernier could not be expected to save the deflections, but I think he often lets in shots that should be stopped....

Only 8 points ahead of #5!

If the lottery were held today the Leafs would have a 2% chance at the first overall pick.

They abused high blocker on him. He didn't have a good night.

pretty much it... sometimes those bullet shots that hit the post deflect out..sometimes in the net... if you start to reduce those overall...the results will come..

oh and Holtby has been really good this year ..so tough game overall

Yes, you are right. High blocker. Is that Berniers weakness?

Bingo....we all know, every one of us, that the Leafs could end up last and would lose the lottery...to Edmonton.

Edit: Oilers take a defenceman...teehee.

Nein. Edmonton is not winning again. That was the whole point of instituting the lottery the way it is. To stop things like Edmonton from happening.

Lets pick at this a bit.

1. Unstoppable is a far cry from practically unstoppable. Any goalie stopping that Johansson shot would have gladly admitted they got lucky.
2. I think that 5th one was Fehr's snapper that Gardiner deflected. Bernier was in decent position but you see the puck flutter off Gardiner's stick and re-direct away from Bernier.

Like I said - he might want one back but to put the entire blame on him (which you did) is unreasonable. He wants one back, Kadri wants that poopty shift back (but he had an otherwise pretty decent night), Gardiner wants that tip in back, Rielly wants that stupid shift back, Franson wants that tip in back, Clarkson wants that poopty backcheck back .....the list goes on.

pretty much, i dont even blame carlyle that much, like what was carlyle doing wrong really? i just hated that he never brings up good prospects from the AHL but neverless he had the forwards clicking pretty good before all the injuries occurred and the defense is still pretty ass which he couldnt do anything about.. i blame Nonis. He says this team is improved when its not. So he should be fired

not sure if its already been posted but Polak calls out the offense

http://www.sportsnet.ca/h...ge-divided-dressing-room/

“Because it’s hard work,” Polak said before Wednesday’s 6-2 loss to Washington. “It’s always tough to do something you know you don’t like to do. I think we have lots of guys that just want to play offence.”
