The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of loading up with goons and punishing other teams.

How much fun would that be!!

Carrick and Bodie are both here now.

That's a start

That's why OV is a bit feared now. A very big ugly goof who can really skate and put a guy through the boards or worse, and will at some point should he have reason. He has no soul.
- Woderwick

And strong enough to hurl a 6'3 215lb man on his ass with one hand. Or was Dion trying to draw a penalty? Either way - sad.

OV is great. He's a goddamned menace but nobody can touch him because he's actually surprisingly tough and doesn't waste his time with scrubs who couldn't catch him if they tried.

Bodie...meh. From what I've seen, I haven't liked his game too much on the Marlies this year. But play Carrick when he's here. Don't understand the theory of sitting them unless they really screw up out there.

Exactly. Leo's left to do it himself.

This is what everyone wanted. Balance in the line up. Translation: skilled players with little grit and no fighters. I for one think you need at least one guy that can drop the mits and make people pay for crap. I would like McClaren back up, play him 5 minutes a night and let him run around...

loved Carrick last night. Thought he played well...for the 2:53 he was playing.... I forgot what period, but it was obv a 4th line shift, and they kept the puck in their zone for a while and kept pushing.

What would the last 41 games have to look like to get a top 3-4 pick?

16-22-3?

I didn't see the game but saw the "by the numbers" this morning. Hilarious that they win out in almost every stat category but get poop kicked. Maybe they need to let 40+ shots on goal to win?

not sure if its already been posted but Polak calls out the offense

http://www.sportsnet.ca/h...ge-divided-dressing-room/

“Because it’s hard work,” Polak said before Wednesday’s 6-2 loss to Washington. “It’s always tough to do something you know you don’t like to do. I think we have lots of guys that just want to play offence.”

Good for him. Then slap Kessel around a bit if Phil tells him to "Shut his (frank)in mouth".

I have no idea what to expect with this team...that's what's so awesome about them.

It's a mystery wrapped in a riddle inside an enigma (plagiarised of course).

You're assuming he's talking about Kessel. No where in the article does he name him.

No , not at all.. they should all be called out no doubt. I'm just thinking a strong personality in the dressing is required...and someone who can back it up and not be intimidated by a Philbert for example. They all need a kick in the ass.
