Like I said last night, last night Bernier lost the game. Goalies are entitled to poop the bed once in awhile.
I liked the style of play the leafs showed last night. Also how active the coaches were behind the bench.
What I hated was the line selection......and like I said last night, when are they actually going to give the Kadri/Kessel pairing a real shot at being successful, and not break it up after one period. Like I;m sorry, but sticking a guy who has all of 2 goals this year on that top line and being surprised that it fails? Why does Bozak get to play with JVR and Kessel....but whenever its Kadri with Kessel you see fourth liners thrown on the other wing?
I liked things about last nights game, but the line selection and use of players needs some work. And for Christ sakes, remove Bozak from the #1 PP unit and stick Kadri there. - mykokes
KAdri taken off that line before the 1st period ended...
Carrik played 2+mins .
I hope these things get better. |

I think this team plays better when it has 3 nhl centers......once you drop to two, it starts to really suck. That said, I wish there was a way to acquire RoR and still keep Kadri. - mykokes
sadly it would be Rielly.
leafs should have traded guys when they had value
bozak
franson
lupul
didnt happen, still a chance at trading bozie or franson for a decent return
will it happen? id guess not. |

Carrick's second shift was much too good...he almost scored! (frank) that man...you're sitting on the bench...show off.

Bozak and Franson still have value.......as for Lupul----I think they were actually trying to trade him right before he got hurt AGAIN. Boston needs a scoring winger I hear. |

Bernier looked like Gustavson last night---he was moving way to (frank)ing much in his net yesterday, and he lost his net on numerous occasions. |

because even if Kadri is a better player than Bozak, Kessel and JVR are not committed backcheckers/defenders. and that puts way, way too much of a strain on the centre that plays with them. so by putting a guy like Winnik there you've at least got some defensive responsibility on that line and it eases the burden on Kadri. it's about balance and that's something the Leafs top 6 has lacked for a long time.

Lums, if you're going to go with burn victims from other sports, I present to you: Niki Lauda.

The problem is, these guys really think this team can compete. Every team gets better as the season goes on. Leafs are the best they can be at the get go, which is far from good enough by the end.
Tanking early may just work. I'm rooting for losses cuz it's the best thing possible for this team. |

Micheal Russo reported yesterday that the Minnesota Wild have been in talks with the Hurricanes regarding acquiring Cam Ward.
Now's your chance to try and sell them on Reimer before it's too late. |

Horachek is auditioning for a future job. he knows the Leafs are brining in a new coaching staff next year. so developing call ups is going to be his last priority. |

I know, eh!? I feel a tinge of shame for doing that, but Lums made me. Have you seen that movie about him and the James Hunt rivalry? I was shocked at the closing credits when they showed the real Lauda and they didn't exaggerate his injuries for the film. He is quite an inspiration for perseverance. |

nonis sets the roster.. not horachek.. horachek just decides who on his roster he sits and plays |
