Boy are they. Marchand and Lucic (frank)ing suck Egomaniac douches bought into their own hype - AdamFrench
Lucic is a ghost.
Fact is, I think teams aren't "scared" of them anymore. So their schtick isn't working anymore. |

Rarely do the Leafs ever out shoot their opponents. Losing 6 -2 when you do is just typical. An 800 save % will not win you many games, specially on 26 shots... Piss poor start with the new coach. - bixll
Kept the shots down, but still gave up too many quality shots. Didn't get good enough goaltending. they had 33 shots and said they outchanced them, but I don't think they did outchance them.
That shorthanded goal I think killed them. all the air out of them at that point.

For Dion, I personally think that we can get more, but it depends. He's a tough one t ojudge out there.
Lupul ~~ Perron, who got a first and a player. Lupul's contract isn't as good, so we'd get a bit less, but just a 2nd is undervaluing him. Hell, Douglas Murray got two 2nds...
Clarkson I agree. Unless we can agree Philly to move him for Vinny (better player, shorter contract).
Robidas I assume ages like the rest of us, so I don't see how a 37 year-old will be 42 at the end of another 2 years?
Bozie to Dallas doesn't work IMO. They have Benn, Seguin, Spezza and Eakon all listed as C on their top 2 lines. No way they want him. Edmonton MIGHT bite, maybe Nashville (lots of C on expiring deals).
I potentially like the Kessel deal. Josi is a beast and signed to a VERY good contract going forward. It would depend on who the prospect is.
Franson you try and keep if you move Dion. See if there's any way you can get him for 5-5.5m (if not, move him). See my comment regarding Doug Murray for Franson's value.
Just my $0.02 - lumlums
Dallas plays benn spezza and seguin on a line together.
Lupul is devalued because he is the spokesman for johnson and Johnson band aids. Also comparing him to perron is somewhat off since lupul has 3 more years at 5+ million than perron does.
Robidas....40, 42...who gives a sh×t the guy is a healthy scratch on the leafs for god sakes. Hes terribly disgusting and makes $3million per year.
I dont love the returns i posted. They depress me. But not as much as the current roster.

Let me get this right....
When Wilson says Kessel isn't reliable, he's a bitter old man who couldn't win with the Leafs. But when he defends Kessel, he's 100% right about his assessment?
You guys are pretty funny, I have to say. - Pecafan Fan

Spezza spends most of his time with Hemsky and Cole. Eakin plays with Benn/Seguin.
I mentioned lupuls contract, but as players they're similar.
40 and 42 are very different as pro hockey players. Sure he should be better, but he was good before so I want to see him away from Randy first. |

I never said that Kessel didn't have issues, and if you are going to jerk yourself off to what RW said on Tuesday, then shouldn;'t you be listening to (and believing) what he said a day later?? |

If we're serious about a rebuild, Kessel has to go: he's the only piece that'll fetch us a large return (1st round pick(s) and/or prospects), despite the contract.
The rest of the pieces like Gardiner, Phaneuf, Lupul, and Bozak are playing below their pay grade for the most part, so it makes their contracts look less attractive, and therefore we'd have to eat salary to get anything worthwhile for them. |

A player can be unreliable and at the same time, not being able to get the job done by himself.
It actually goes hand in hand if you ask me. |

They go back and forth for the last half of December the big line was together whenever i watched. Adding bozak would keep the super line together. Or give them more depth. Bozie's contract is moveable. I just picked dallas 1st

EDIT:
