Think about it, what challenge could a guy who has won everything in North America and on the International stage be big enough? How about the chance to coach (and do some GM'ing) of the biggest franchise in the NHL and build it right from ground zero. You make the calls. You dictate how you would like this to be built. Add in Dubas, Shanny and the Hunter's, and you may actually have a team who knows what they are doing.

Plus the media would be too poop scared to act like morons with Babcock running the team. How do you shoot the Devil in the back? What if you miss?

It will be a joyous, peaceful time not listening to those muppets that have their own breakfast/rush hour show.

It's bad when you have had a losing team for so long. I have seen a few decent teams in my life. Late 90s and early 2000s but other then that all I have seen is losing. I'm sick of it.

Stupid mistakes come from loss of confidence and guys on edge right now. Plus, did you see what the lines were to start? Ya, that wasnt going to yield success. Horachek wants to put his stamp on this group so he'll experiment with lines, players, plays etc...but as just about everyone seemingly understands, this team will need more than just a coaching change if they don't want to miss playoffs. And it surely can't be at the cost of a young player...so they certainly have their hands full.

we finished 8th last overall last year...team is going to finish there or worse i've said all along. I think bottom 5-6. Just because for years they finished just outside the playoffs doesn't mean that will continue. Again, last year bottom 8 and we all remember the sequin debacle (29th overall).

on a side note as much as i bash the team, this was a good effort. They deserved better. This was simply the hockey gods evening up a few of the wins they didn't deserve during the 10-1-1 streak. If only they played like this every night .....
