Not to be anti toronto again...but LA thinks "we won 2 cups in 3 years...we have a proven, relatively young core who play a 200ft game. Hey kessel is an elite talent but do we want to change our core around for a guy with all those question marks who doesnt play a 200 ft game?".

They have issues going forward with needing to sign young guys and the like. It's going to be shaken up a bit I think. If they can move Richards for Kessel I see them doing the deal. Richards is NOT the core going forward.

Anyway it's a moot point. I think it's most likely not happening but I believe the conversation takes place.

Since Kessel is locked for 7 more years I think more teams then just contending teams make the call. Florida thinks they have some good pieces. I'm sure they'd love to add Kessel to Barkov's wing.
