Sooooo....

not fact...but the point is the overwhelming majority see the team as a massive problem. You can articulate over and over why they aren't, but no finals appearance since 67...1 playoff appearance in 11 years...the most expensive tickets, etc etc etc is tough to argue.

I don't think anyone's arguing that the Leafs situation leaves a lot to be desired. It was the 'worst' part. 1908 was a lot longer ago than 1967, and the Cubs finished with a 73-89 record this past season.

the problem with this core is that they're 3 guns short on the first 2 line, so maybe trade Kessel and be 4 guns short

because i'm from Toronto and this is the team i cheer for. I was never jaded until this summer. Last year i was a positive fan. I became jaded after all the change promised resulted in assistant coaches being switched.

Let's focus on the NHL then. Are we the worst team standings wise? No. I called them to be a bottom 5 team...everyone laughed and said playoffs for sure. That will be determined.

However, we could be the worst (or amongst the worst) when you consider lack of prospects, unmoveable long term terrible deals, and a bad makeup of a team. Laugh at Edmonton all you want, they have options. We really don't at this time. Who's taking our junk?

couldn't agree more. Tanking can result in success or failure no doubt. But being in purgatory is the worst position. see the last 11 years.

i don't believe tanking will automatically get us a cup. It's not even tanking; just blow up the core as it's clearly not working.
