To illustrate this point a grand total of 4 Leaf draft picks have reached the 500pt mark over the past 30 years.

how many prospects have ripped up junior or the AHL and never amounted to anything? seen him play numerous times...played against him numerous times. Don't hold your breath
- clark_griswold

That and 28 points in 35 AHL games isn't exactly ripping it up. I'm pleasantly surprised by his pro production so far and hope he continues to develop.

In the Leafs' scouting department's defence, how many times have they picked in the first round in the last 30 years?

I dont put a lot of stock into a 14-15 game window..when the leafs were 10-4 ..and had not hot the skids yet like the 35 game and 5 ROW stretch..the still sucked overall

Fans lobbying for him as captain says more about those fans
not a good way to reinforce a point imo

Bolland has played a full season maybe once in his career... there is value in players who can stay heathy all the time (Kessel).. lupul and bolland need to be avoided when they are hitting large contract numbers

- senstroll

oh for sure and I was entirely against resigning him at anything more than his previous rate, if that... given the injury.

Just saying that the injury brought an abrupt end to what was looking like a great addition to the Leafs.

Likely for the best, I agree, but it's still a bad example given how well he was playing before he was injured, and how well he had played in Chicago.

Wendel Clarke got hurt a lot too... how they get hurt matters.

Out here the bad drivers are the 18-year old white guys (Alberta has lots of them!) who jam along with beer in one hand and joint in the other (I've seen this more times than I care to recount )

The film actually goes into how the big corp is working with the gov to make it very difficult to sue for real damages, it's really bad in the medical malpractice area, people are getting f-ed over by limitations... Corp and gov working together for the people ...

As my friend says:

Q: Why is divorce so expensive?

A: Because it's worth it.

we all thought the same thing about Corey Locke. undersized player. CHL POTY. just tore up the OHL and was a big producer in the AHL. played 9 NHL games.

i don't know. first thing ppl look at is points.

i suggested little for kadri. Got laughed off the board because ppl went to NHL.com and looked up their stats. Forget watching to see them play; it's all about offense.

- clark_griswold

I still think Kadri has more to come...he's getting better. I could care less if we kept any of them.

Just make the playoffs a regular think.

i think it's pretty good considering he's a rookie, and it's good to see he's putting up some offensive numbers as a pro without mcdavid at centre
