I think suter fits the criteria of >25 minutes again.. isnt he around 30?
maybe i dont understand the list.
Maybe i have spent to much time looking at it. - Lee Denault
I think he deserves to be on the list of #1s, easily, but he didn't fit the top list because despite all his minutes, the Wild are a playoff bubble team. Without him, they'd probably be a lottery team though. |

I know I'm not allowed to link to competing websites, but there's a certain "marionette owned by a retirement savings organization" website that has an article which absolutely nails the Feschuk vs. Kessel confrontation. - Atomic Wedgie
Except for the part about Kessel being a petulant little biitch who needs to grow the eff up. |

6 points out of playoffs with 2 games in hand.
I wouldn't write them off. they are a good team. - Lee Denault
wasn't my post... assumed that was his opinion.
but no, if Leafs are not a contending team... and they are not, then neither is Minni.

Rc put them together several times..... Only stayed together a shift, then back to normal. Hopefully not that rc is gone they get more than a shift together to see if it'll work. - burn

What made it a horrible trade was the timing of it and the fact the team was terrible and should have been rebuilding. Instead of sucking and gathering a bunch of top picks, they trade them all away for kessel, just to be mediocre again.
You dont win with one superstar. Not only Seguin and Hamilton, they probably would have had a few more top 5 picks in the next couple years.
Terrible trade. - TincupCanuck

seguin doesn't concern me. He's very similar to kessel in that he brings purely one way offense.
However, after watching Hamilton for about 15 full games this year..he's an absolute stud. He'd be our top Dman this year no doubt and plays a great 2 way game.
No one really lost this trade and burke can't be blamed for making it. I wouldn't have made it personally but alot of trades end up worse than this one. - clark_griswold
i have to disagree with you here. you may be right in that Seguin is just as crap defensively as Kessel. but the big difference is that Segiun is much better driver of possession and so he doesn't spend as much time defending as Kessel. and that's part of what makes possession guys so valuable: their best defence is how little defence they have to play. the fact that Seguin is a centre who can drive possession (and it's not just Benn... he did it in Boston too) is a huge, huge advantage. it's why teams build around centers and not wingers. |

the problem is, he's taken the stupidest kind of risk: high risk, low reward. what were Bolland and Clarkson ever going to bring to the Leafs? quality third line minutes and some leadership? that's not the kind of risk a GM takes. the biggest issue with Nonis is that there's no rhyme or reason to anything he does. he just seems to react to things. his moves in 2013 were a direct reaction to the game 7 meltdown. his moves in 2014 were a direct reaction to the last 15 games of 2014. he doesn't seem like he has the ability, as a manager, to take a step back and see the big picture. he's all about plugging leaks. - DoubleDown

Not suprising though. I know of 3 people who've had serious head injuries and another that died when I was growing up, and that was just in our collection of little towns around... not at all a large population.
Stunned they made bike helmets a law and ignored tobogganing for so long. - Badge
Apparently it's one of the top five most dangerous activities, just under skydiving. I would much prefer that they outlawed skydiving. |

So are we going to ban ski resorts too than? Because you reach a higher top speed and launch from higher altitude.

i dont understand why a team has to be contending for a guy to be considered a #1. was Shea Weber not a #1 last year? when Calgary eventually drops out of contention, will Giordano not be a #1? Karlsson?
one guy who people don't talk about enough though is John Carlson in Washington. |

An interesting Part of that is the transcript from the end of the PK-DF exchange:
Feschuk: It's not me saying this stuff!
Kessel: how many bad articles have you had? i don't see any of these other guys disrespecting the players like you are
Feschuk: can I talk to you for one second
Kessel: I've never seen someone disrespect the players in this organization, not me, just in general.
But no, "Phil doesn't give a phuck"... |

Who hurt themselves tobogganing and won a law suit against a city? That judge should be shot for not ruling "you were aware of the risks you were assuming when you decided to slide down a snowy hill on a surface designed to reduce friction. case dismissed." |
