Strikes me as a massive douche as well. The cpt. Morgan celly and tongue wagging poop

Will be lucky to be a Marchand type...at best...IMO.

- Iggysbff

kind of how i see him as well.

a lil pest... with enough skill to be in the NHL..

probably 3rd line winger tops

A poop disturbing top 6 forward who consistently puts up 20+ goals, including 18 in the half season? Man, that would suck. One way ticket to Bustville.

I agree, except I keep Reimer instead.

Yeah, he's the worse goalie, but Bernier could stand on his head and cost us valuable draft picks

- TheThrill

I was actually thinking that also.

I think Bernier's value is very high right now and I am not convinced he is a huge improvement over Reimer.

Neither one is a Price or Lundqvist or Rinne ... but Bernier gets a lot more in return.

or.. trade the core out and draft one
- Dozzer

If that is the approach, then yeah, they need to Sabres-tank. That means Kessel, Phaneuf, JVR ... literally everyone of any value.

leafs should 100% keep kessel going forward.

you'll never be happy with the return

if we pull it together at some point phil will still be rady to pot 30.

we will eventually get that #1C and then wont have a winger to score...its bound to happen eventually.

ive defended dion for years and i think its time to move on from dion; after watching Ovi shove him over with a lil cheap shot punch and dion did nothing, thats pathetic for a captain in his home rink.

but you move out kessel - you'll likely never get a player like that unless you get a top 3 pick AND they work out....and can play in TO...which are few and far between.

They could easily keep one of those three (my vote goes to Kessel) and still be Sabres level bad. Phil has about 6-7 years of 35 goal seasons left in him.

I didn't say useless.

But not a guy I would cheer for and not a cornerstone piece of a team either.

I only caught the tail end of it, but it sounded like he wasn't sticking up for his trolling like his Star colleagues have been. What did he say exactly?

I think he very well could be the exception. Johnny Gudreau is also small, very small.

Domi seems like he can get shyt done. I like the kid alot.

I'd at least see what his value was to ARI

So we keep Kessel, anyone else?

I am not much liking what I see from JVR. When he is not with Kessel he does NOTHING and I don't think his attitude is any better than Kessel's.

So, JVR gone also?

(I didn't suggest trading Kessel in the first place, but if I am pulling a Sabres, he probably has to go.)

Check out the link I posted, Polak, and Winnik are speaking up about lazy guys on the Leafs, I really liked watching Clarkson float back on the 2 on 1 last night, just couldn't give a poop...

its sad though

IMO there wasnt 1 legit parter for dion to play with the entire time he was in Toronto.

not 1.

Youve been so stubborn on this. Id rather you just keep your stance on dion. Seriously. Youve been such an apologist id really respect you more if you just kept your stance

I think he could get you a nice package back, especially with that contract. I thought he'd turned the corner after he committed himself to playing in front of the crease, but he floats way too much.

edit: Keep developing Rielly and Nylander, hopefully get a potential stud or two in the first round 2015, a couple B+ level prospects and work from there.

Teams not clipping along right now but they are not in the season is lost category. Still have a shot at making the playoffs if they play some consistent hockey...7-3-2 in the last 12 or something like that

I understand the Edmonton arguement, but you team has serious holes also. I believe a deal could be there.

Would it be an easy one to make, no, probably not for either team. I think the cost would be a nasty surprise for most Leafs fans, but I could see a posisbility.

... I also doubt it ever happens.
