Let him go to Florida. the central division is all ready tough enough. Nashville is already a very talented team with a great goalie. its just not fair if he goes to nashville. we already have the hawks and ads to deal with. the stars to a lesser degree even though they are loaded with talent.
no more send vinny to florida to play with boyes - BluesDroogie
Vinny going to Nashville will help them? I am hoping this is true, |

the contract is bad enough, but Vinny has no defensive presence whatsoever.... Why anyone would take him Knowing that he will hurt your team more than help it is beyond any credibility |

haven't seen any flyers games for a long time so not sure how he is playing anymore. just i know he was a good playmaker years ago. hawks, preds, blues, avs, the central does not need anymore help. its tough enough. hopefully it was just a bad month for the blues as we stunk it up pretty bad

Vinny to either the Preds or Panthers makes sense in some ways.
BUT...anyone who thinks that the Flyers are going to get ANY impact return is crazy. This is going to be a move to add via subtraction. Having a Cup winner with a pedigree like Vinny's sitting in the locker room, not fitting in, no matter how good of a soldier he is being, is wearing on the coaching staff and the other players.
If the Flyers can get a 3rd round pick outright...take it and run. |

I could see a Fisher-Lecavalier swap. Fisher is really good but Lecavalier might be better in the top six for point production; assuming Laviolette believes he can get him going. - Bryant44
I would guess Raffl-Lecavalier for either Fisher or James Neal.
Flyers are crying for a topline LW and I guess Laviolette knows he can use Vinny better then for 4th line. And Raffl was already line-mate of Philip Forsberg in Sweden.

He was a healthy scratch for 7 straight games and has spent most of the year on the 4th line.
Right now, the Jets are a bigger worry than the AVs. |

If the Flyers get anything and not have to retain salary, they should take it. A bag of pucks, stick tape, even some used equipment. |

How do the Flyers always manage to get themselves into these crazy trades and contracts is a mystery to me.
Every team has 1 bad contract, but the Flyers appear to not have anyone to evaluate the talent properly.

No one is going to save them, unless a pick or a prospect is involved.
That's the price.

yeah i saw that he was a healthy scratch for a stretch, did not know he was relegated to the 4th line though. The Jets? i don't see them being a problem. I guess the Blues just have trouble with the Avs. |

dude, vinny would be subtraction by addition. At BEST he'd be a crippling long-term deal. |

i legitimately think the Flyers current cap situation is the worst of all time. Since the cap was introduced i don't think i've seen so many atrocious, indefensible contracts on one payroll at once.
i mean i guess it's only 3 contracts that really stick out (Vinny, Umberger and that utterly incomprehensible Macdonald deal) but man do they look crippling |

(frank) James Neal. I'd rather see the Flyers bring back Billy Tibbets. |

If I'm Nashville, I'd make the flyers sweeten the pot, a high draft pick, 1st or 2nd rounder and Vinny for a 7th. Nashville has the cap space to absorb his contract and maybe Lavy can help Vinny rejuvenate his career in Nashville. Otherwise, Nashville doesn't need a tenth center on their roster. |

I think the Flyers would much rather buy him out, than package him with a 1st or 2nd pick |

All the GMs in the NHL know the flyers are up against the cap and unhappy with Vinnys contract/play so they don't really have any leverage in trading him. I think they'll end up buying him out at the end of the season but that doesn't help them this year |
