Actually, we traded an older one for a younger one, so that didn't change. Looking at our roster at the last game I think it listed 10 centers and no right wingers.

But Florida has Bjugstad, Barkov, Trocheck, Bolland, MacKenzie, Jokinen, and Boyes who can all play center. I just don't see it.

Outside in Minnesota in January is for people braver than me. Went to the Devils/Rags at Yankee stadium last year. In the teens, wind and snow and didn't drop the puck until close to sunset because of the glare.

I'll head back to one when Tampa plays Florida.

I imagine that 2017 Winter Classic ends up in Toronto, being the 100th anniversary of the franchise and the 50th anniversary of their last Cup. Some irony there, looking at those numbers.

I think he's played LW. If they can get the Flyers to eat some salary could be a good move. On the business side it certainly couldn't hurt attendance.

I could see a Fisher-Lecavalier swap. Fisher is really good but Lecavalier might be better in the top six for point production; assuming Laviolette believes he can get him going.

Listing the two teams with the lowest need for an extra Center of any kind is the sure way to make a trade rumor sound plausible.

thats gotta be it....

I cant see any team taking on that contract, 3 more years at 4.5m is crazy....He can score but he lets up way more on defense than he scores..... He Makes Umberger look good by comparison.

Never happen. That's a really big "if" and Fish has helped get the PP going. Don't think they could give us Vinny. Maybe we trade the new guy for him IF they eat half of his salary. But which C are you gonna sit? Not Ribs, Fish or Goose. And I wouldn't sit Calle. Don't see a place for him now and most of us didn't see his acquisition as a plus last offseason.

Lecavalier, in his resurgence if you will since he came off of the scratch list, has been playing a lot of Wing, and has been effective. He can play the right side, but not the left side. And he really needs a play maker to be effective. That said the suspect play and the contract make dealing Lecavalier a long shot.
