Nick Schmaltz was the guy that impressed me the most.

I actually noticed him a lot as well. That kid has really developed quite nicely and is not slowing down

Fun WJC so far. Eichel train is probably taking on cabooses

Kapanen shouldn't feel too bad. It happens. He'll keep playing well. Can't wait to see him next year.

I'm in town for tomorrow's game. Should be a good one. Hopefully the Penguins are rested but focused. Sutter may play. I'll be in section 105 if anyone wants to say hello.

From what I read he's negative and good to go.

Word is that Downie is also good to go, because his rabies infection is counteracting the mumps.

Thanks for a great post. Free Candy will forever be one of my favorite Penguins. That guy lived and died for the team, was a tremendous shutdown defenseman in his prime, and had a knack for saving his goals for when they mattered most.

And those 4 hits. Chills.

I know they're doing a video for Orpik tomorrow night. Hopefully it's about 5 times longer than the one for Niskanen, if they're planning on doing one for him, too.

I don't think Niskanen rates the video treatment...

i was thankful they did not re sign orpik but i thought they would let him make that decision. then he was a pen as long as he was under contract. i have a brooks jersey (olympic and pens) and am thankful to what he brought to the team. i wish him the best with all that washington capitol money. i am just glad he is no longer on the pens payroll. especially at the # he is at now. what did he do in the last 2 years to go from 3.75 to 5.25M/yr? holy raise!

Is it bad that I hope Orpik lights Malkin up like a candle tomorrow?
- Grinder47

I hope it is the other way around Would love to see Bobby Mayhem Farnham light Brooks up like a Christmas tree. Should not be all that hard to do. Brooks is like a pylon out there anyway

hahahaha yeah anyone to light up Ovi? Have you seen our team? Soft as puppy poop, especially without Downie. Farnham will try and probably stir something up and draw a penalty, but I'm pretty sure Ovi's gonna be able to do whatever he wants.
