A part of my post was sarcastic and untrue.

We don't have a '15 1st and Skjei is compared to McDonagh. He's gonna be a stud and the Rangers even wanted him to go pro this year because they felt he would've won a spot on the roster straight out of camp but he declined. Hags is a forward that can provide take up some defensive responsibility.

It's a similar package to what got us Nash...2 roster players, a top defensive prospect, and a 1st. Except I think Kreids and Skjei's ceilings are higher than Dubi's, Anisimov's, and Erixon's.

Couple of problems there. Nash was older with a MUCH bigger contract. Also, who exactly is comparing him to McDonagh? The Rangers media? If you are the gm on the phone trying to sell me that crap, ill tell you to keep him then and we'd just take McDonagh. You are also assuming that the Oilers would have true interest in those players. Trading an elite player, Edmontons gm can afford to be picky.

You do know strome is playing now right? Yeah none of us would do that trade. Our first and second pairing defensemen and a first for a winger. Honestly dont want hall. Think hes a great player but we wouldn't make that trade in a million yrs. Think youre grossly undervaluing the players you mentioned. I think theyre not trading hall to begin with but if they do oiler fans are going to be disappointed with what they get.

In fairness to my post I merely speculated that maybe he asked for a deal or Edm is trying to get him to take his leadership to the next level. Like that old saying where there's smoke there's fire. We all really know nothing about what's going on inside the room. But it would make sense for Edm to come out denying all that stuff as it would kill halls trade value , if true. IF.
