Strome has potential to be very very good imo. - SmielmaN
Hes already very, very, good. The question is will he get better and be able to be consistent with it. From what I've seen thats a yes yes. Kid has been incredible in every situation. |

With the way McTavish has handled the Oilers, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he browses the internet to help him make his decisions.
Kreider has been pretty bad recently which some people think is due to the death of his grandfather. Anyway, he always shows up when it counts in the playoffs. Him and Nash are like opposites. - rangerdanger94
And with a possible huge trade to make, this is a defining moment for MacT that will either show he has some talent as a GM or that he's another alumni hire that can't do the job. It will be interesting to see what decisions he makes, if he's still the GM by the time the moves happen. |

If you have to search for an excuse every time a player doesnt show up it usually means theyre not that great of a player. |

I started following him after the Habs drafted Galchenyuk and it was chucky and Strome tearing up the O. Potential is def there |

I think you just dislike Kreider (and Hagelin) because they're both faster than Grabner |

What are the odds that any UFA with even a modicum of talent would resign in Edmonton?
Hell, half the skilled kids they have signed through 2020 are demanding trades |

What I never realized he had is a defensive game. Hes excellent on the pk and in his own end and neutral zone. Also has a way of making everyone around him better no matter what line. Wouldn't trade him for anyone right now and id say most islander fans agree along with Snow.

Gotta see what kind of nhl'er he is before dealing him. But if Edm said Strome, de Haan/harmonic, and a first for Hall? Well, that's well worth considering lol. Not that Edm would do that but IF.. |

You do know strome is playing now right? Yeah none of us would do that trade. Our first and second pairing defensemen and a first for a winger. Honestly dont want hall. Think hes a great player but we wouldn't make that trade in a million yrs. Think youre grossly undervaluing the players you mentioned. I think theyre not trading hall to begin with but if they do oiler fans are going to be disappointed with what they get. |

Who knows what value Hall has? When was the last time a player of his obvious talent,, at his age, with that salary ( with 1 more RFA year at the end), zero contract clauses, and with his pedigree was traded? Who's the comparable you Jabronis are basing his value at? |

Seguin, Rich Peverley, and Ryan Button to Dallas for Eriksson, Joe Morrow, Reilly Smith, and Matt Fraser. |

Sort of. What was Seguins career high before the trade? It's a fairly good example but it seems as though Boston didn't value TS as much as the Oilers value Hall. Just a few other factors to consider like TS's apparent bad reputation, Bostons salary cap, and the fact that Boston was looking to reinforce their group for another cup run.
If I were the Oilers I wouldn't have traded TS for that package. |

But Seguin is a center which therefore means he has more value. Or so everyone has been saying in this thread.
Nash and a 3rd for Dubinsky, Anisimov, Erixon, and a 1st is the only other deal I can think of. |

Yeah, no doubt. I think, realistically, if the Oilers wanted to move him ( or had to meet a trade demand like my buddy Whiskey is saying), the off season is the time to do it. I would expect the Oilers would create a bidding war tho. Nobody new Seguin was on the market at the time and I'm sure if it were known ( and the had the space)Boston could have got a better deal.
If it were me I would shoot for OEL, but I would understand if Arizona told me to piss off. |

Mark Spector is one of the biggest (frank)ing idiots in all of hockey media, can go (frank) himself, eat poop, and hopefully die after a long and painful infection in his anus.
Edit: I don't thnk much of bloggers either, except James Tanner, he's pretty good. |
