He's quite good but EDM plays career AHLers and face punchers ahead of him, so might as well use the asset if you want play him - TheNugeIsHuge

So like I said to you about this trade bfr the oilers get an inconsistent winger, a decent maybe b level prospect, and a latw first in a weak draft for an elite player. If I were an oiler fan id storm the castle. |

Rangers and Oilers just aren't good trade partners. Our top goalie prospects are the perfect age to be ready to play in the NHL once Hank is close to the end of his career, we aren't deep in terms of defensive prospects so trading Staal is a no-go, and our center depth is extremely thin.
How about Kreider + Duclair + Skjei?
No change in hell the Rangers do that, but I'm curious to see if Oilers fans think that is more fair. - rangerdanger94
The Oilers are going to want proven players for Hall, especially the defender. Kreider is meh and Duclair and Skjei are unknowns at this point. |

Geez people. Pull your heads out if your asses.
This is all bullpoop. Eakins himself basically called Dreger out for the stupid poop he said. All this Hall nonsense is made up. Dreger should be poop canned for it. What a piece of poop that guy is. - Iggysbff
In fairness to my post I merely speculated that maybe he asked for a deal or Edm is trying to get him to take his leadership to the next level. Like that old saying where there's smoke there's fire. We all really know nothing about what's going on inside the room. But it would make sense for Edm to come out denying all that stuff as it would kill halls trade value , if true. IF. |

Skjei is compared to Mcdonagh because he's a rangers prospect, shoots left, and plays in college. 10% chance he tops out where McDonagh is, 3 years from now - TheNugeIsHuge
He is compared to McDonagh because of his skating and defensive instincts.

To be fair, the package I offered blows away Strome + Reinhart.

This whole thread has been habs/Rangers fans offering trades for hall and them saying no oiler fan would accept it. It's comical - edmhatescal

I agree. I think if there's any deal it has to have 2 NHL players that can play on the top 2 lines |

To be fair strome is better than any one player in that proposed trade of yours combined. Kreider is about as inconsistent a player there is. Always has been and you can lump hagelin into that same description. Reinhart would just be gravy. With that said I wouldn't trade strome for just about anyone right now. Centers are at a premium not bottom six inconsistent fwds and strome has been playing at an extremely high level on both sides of the puck

Strome has potential to be 60+ Pt guy. I couldn't agree more that he won't be dealt. Or I should say, shouldn't be dealt. |

Always has been? This is basically his 2nd year in the league. And Hagelin plays his game consistently shift over shift. You're bias against the Rangers is oozing through your posts. |

Bottom line:
Hall is not getting traded.
If he or Eberle was the oilers get one of the following back:
1. A top pair defensemen. Today. Not some prospect maybe one day if the stars align will be a top pair guy. We have those.
2. A top 6 center. Again. Today.
3. A starting goaltender.
Any of these other rumours are pathetic attempts. - ghostofRC

With the way McTavish has handled the Oilers, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he browses the internet to help him make his decisions.
Kreider has been pretty bad recently which some people think is due to the death of his grandfather. Anyway, he always shows up when it counts in the playoffs. Him and Nash are like opposites. |

Here's the difference, the 2 players play different positions, 1 is a PWF W and the other is a play-making C. Nothing personal but C's due tend to have more pts than PWF's. No knock on Kreider but usually that's how it plays out sometimes...
