Hold out option has been used in the past - SmielmaN
And has resulted in what? The player ending up signed. Besides, once EDM offers them their standard 6x6 deal Kreider will sign in a heartbeat |

For sure, but at the same time we got a 3rd round pick back with Nash and Kreider > Dubi and Anisimov and Skjei >> Erixon so the package I offered is similar only better, which is why I thought it might be close to fair? Maybe not though. It's a pipedream and won't ever happen anyway. Rangers won't gut their team for Hall. - rangerdanger94
I honestly though erixon was going to be a quality top 4 guy. Sometimes it just doesn't work out. With Hall you just know that Edm won't deal him for nothing short of kings ransom or else their fans will burn down the arena. Lol |

True. If he requests a trade though behind closed doors....look out. |

That's true. Edm throws out stupid deals. Alright, it's possible he stays lol. I still don't think its a good deal for Edm at all though. Need at least a current 60pt player back and Krieder hasn't provided consistency or that level of offence. Would have to be like Krieder AND Staal with a extension to get that deal going imo |

To me that's one of the two things that are happening right now. Either hall has asked for a deal and they don't want that getting out or it destroys the value of return or they are trying to motivate hall to take his leadership to the next level |

Galchenyuk Gallagher Beaulieu and Tokarski for Hall
Edmonton gets character in Gallagher. Future starting goalie. Future top 2 defenseman and PP specialist. And A center in Galchenyuk that has chemistry and Best friend of yakupov - QuickSCF
I would almost due Hall for Gallagher straight up, great character and goes to the dirty places all the time. I said almost! |

Yeah let's trade a star talent for 3rd rounders a mid talent prospect and a 15th overall pick in a poopty draft. Freakin rag fans
While not just go for Chris Neil and Colin greening in Ottawa
And BtW, didn't you guys learn in the QUICK SCF that character wins championships? Hall has no character. Why do you want him anyways. You'd be better off keeping Kreider and knocking out all the starting goalies on the way to the finals. Tokarski, emery and fleury lol - QuickSCF
Not saying it's a fair trade but you should think before you write because Kreider and Hagelin are hardly 3rd rounders and Brady Skeij is not a mid level talent. Kid is projected to be a top pairing D-man in this league. |

In what universe is Skjei "one of the top young defensive prospects in the game" ? He's playing in College, College isn't the NHL or the AHL for that matter. If Hall is moved, the Oilers would be looking at a Top 2 defender, a Top 6 forward and a pick or prospect. So, conversation would start and end at McDonagh. - Komisaurus Rex

Rangers and Oilers just aren't good trade partners. Our top goalie prospects are the perfect age to be ready to play in the NHL once Hank is close to the end of his career, we aren't deep in terms of defensive prospects so trading Staal is a no-go, and our center depth is extremely thin.
How about Kreider + Duclair + Skjei?
No change in hell the Rangers do that, but I'm curious to see if Oilers fans think that is more fair. |

Galchenyuk is the center montreal has been lacking for about 20 yrs and I just don't seem them moving him out at all. |

You clearly just started watching hockey yesterday or you're a terrible troll
so in retrospect would you trade,
Kopitar, Toffoli, Muzzin and Jones for Hall? |

That's sweet. Wish I had that kind of hockey talent. I wouldn't care if I was a fourth line face puncher. I would love a championship at that level. |

wow the delusion is on this website too - Skinnyjimmy08
Are you guys for real? Hall is going to get a package like that. I don't like the kid but there's no denying his skill. Galchenyuk may never become anything. He's still young but still unproven. Galagher maxes out at 25 goals and he's small although a ton of heart. Beaulieu and tokarski also unproven.
Hall is a proven star and a first overall pick |

In 5 years there's a chance we don't trade Skjei for Hall straight up. |

These star players never get packages like that. Look at Seguin, Spezza, Nash, Kesler, etc.
It's never 4 or 5 quality NHL roster players for 1 guy. |
