#Canucks trade babble unnecessary: just wait on Kassian return, then switch him w Burr. Could do wonders for 3rd line pic.twitter.com/j7ll6qxt4w

Kassian is the key to our success.

#Canucks Henrik + Daniel Sedin are tied (exactly) for most points against #Flames in the NHL since 07-08. 60 PTS each; 11 more than Stastny.

Lets hope they can't get off the schneid tonight vs the Flickers.

Who was the better hockey player, Mandela or Ghandi? Mandela spent most of his career in the penalty box but Ghandi refused to drop the gloves.

I am glad Hiller is playing tonight. I have him in the pool (sorry Marwood) and the way the Canucks have been scoring that can only improve my stats.

I am glad Burrows is being moved down. As we talked about at lengths yesterday , this roster needs a shakeup. I hope after the holidays they take a good look at moving some old core players.

It is good to see Burrows bumped to the 4th line. Just like Higgins was a few games ago. WD has to not worry about the old allegiances and go with what he thinks will work with what he has to work with...which ain't much right now.

Torts was a tool but he wasn't wrong about the stale core and maybe having to buy out Burrows. Obviously he saw something in Burrows last year that brought up the buyout.

If Sedins and Vrbata continue to sputter I can see WD tossing Burrows there (1st line) just to try it out again. and we talked about how good it would be for Bonino to have Vrbata on the second line so there could be a mild benefit to having Burrows back on the 1st line if only for a recharge of sorts to get the Sedins rolling. Who knows? Maybe Burrows will generate a little puck luck for the Sedins? Somehow I doubt it though.

The Core does need to change though. I look at what Dorsett, Vey and Horvat (and Vrbata & Matthias) have brought here and can just imagine what 2-3 fresher faces would do. I know many aren't big on Vey yet but he is going to be a damn good player once he gets defensively responsible.

But this is it for Burrows. Start earning the salary or submit your 8 teams to Benning for a trade...

Ya I hate to say it but you could be right. I sure hope we aren't the doormat we usually are for struggling goalies, players and teams. But I can see Miller having a seat tonight.

When Miller has flirted with a 900% in the past he has bounced back the last half of those seasons with 931%...man I hope that happens in some form.

Sadly - Burrows has a full NTC from what I've read, meaning, he's in control of his destiny.

True enough but if Burrows is buried on the 4th line (which is where he should be right now or the press box) his mind might change rather quickly bout his NTC when he sees Benning's name on line 2...
